The welfare leaching problem isn't that the guy on it is being lazy. I don't really care. I'd sit around and do what I wanted if I could make a living don't it.

Problem is I'm having to subsidize that guy on Fortnites lifestyle. Why should I? I'll just quit working and do the same thing. Then if everyone does that society collapses because nobody is doing anything.

I'm all in favor of welfare for people who contribute to society in some way. A woman raising children us contributing to the future of society. Some guy injured on the job might not be directly but you pay them anyway because society has a vested interest in letting others know that you'll take care of people who are incapacitated (otherwise people won't do the dangerous jobs that need to get done,).

Some otherwise healthy person capable of working who chose to stay on Fortnite instead, shouldn't have their lifestyle subsidized. And if that means they starve to death. Whatever.

Given a choice between sending money to further a war footing or paying lazy people to stay home, the later is probably preferable for society as a whole but there's a really good third option.

Don't do either.

You aren't the first person to ask this question by any means. I recommend David Graeber's book 'Bullshit Jobs' that deals with this phenomenon

Niggers do worthless nigger stuff. Jews running America/military do worthless stuff. There’s really no difference.

They get their status from money, money from banks or work, work or banks from elites who need serfs to meet their lifestyles.
