What movie or show is this from?

Just found it.

Edit: I just watched the video in full, and it's pretty based.

I have no additional information about the video, it was a clip I found on tik tok.

This old video really speaks to the nature of SaidIt and places like it.

But what are they really for?

panel 3 - To (mind gate) keep dissidents in elite- / usurper Dom, or
      panel 4 - To lead dissidents to elite-free / usurper-free Dom

Why does this thread remind me of that one music video where they asked people to listen to their song and provide their feedback and then a homeless guy who clearly knew his way around a social situation came up and said he loved it and would like to take two?

Elites wants to make us believe they are in control of everything, but is it really? There's no way to know.

They control the mind to control everything else.

Great clip. I'd also like to know what the movie is.

The rest of the stuff you posted is a rabbit hole, but if I'm getting you, you're saying that Saidit is either controlled opposition to keep troublemakers contained and otherwise occupied, or it's a gateway for like minded people to congregate and assist one another in leaving the agreed upon order behind. Is that a reasonable summary?

                    [–]EddieC 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

                    Correction:
leavingthe agreed upon order the Pyramidian System that was shoved upon everyone behind
AND build a System that would work for everyone.

I am posing the question, for OP and other Saiditors like yourself, to be the judge.

Thanks for the clarification. It's an interesting question, but I don't see it as either / or.

When I was younger, I was certainly interested in challenging the existing system and convincing people to try building alternatives together. Now that I have less vim and vigor, it occurs to me that I'd rather just do my own thing and not upset the apple cart that many people are so invested in. I'm not going to flout the laws of my society, but if there are rules that might prevent me from trying something I want to do and doing it won't hurt anyone, I will likely go ahead and ignore the rule in question. But I'm not going to publicize it as a revolutionary act. I'm just looking for a life that I'll be content with.

So, as in the clip, I'll play by their rules and I'll go my own way. Does that mean I'm a revolutionary or a traitor to the revolution? Maybe both, and I'm okay with that.

                    [–]EddieC 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

I'm not going to publicize it as a revolutionary act.

                    Under Direct Change:

                    • there is no need for protests / strikes / confrontations
                    • The real revolution that has to take place is people's mind - shun usurpation (Hint: Stop following the 1%)

I'm not going to flout the laws of my society, but if there are rules that might prevent me from trying something I want to do and doing it won't hurt anyone, I will likely go ahead and ignore the rule in question.

Sure AND no one would morally be able to go against those working towards a usurper-free society: economically, politically, socially, and health-wise (physically & mentally) - all aspects (to be) covered in this "rabbit hole"
                    that in summary is this:
                    Since 99% > 1%, let's normalize usurper-free Dom with these:

                    • Direct Change, (meaning let's do change ourselves) instead of Indirect / Gatekeeper-ed, Top-Down Change

                      • Community Walls, to decenter corp social (control) media
                      • Producers & Mutual Credits and more, to decenter corp usury money
                      • Co-ops4All, to decenter corporations
                      • Co-opecracy, to decenter corporatocracy

and to realize all these, let's have Accretive Dialogue, rather than idle chatter

Rooting out and expunging critical thinking/thinkers is essential to maintaining a society that's wholly dependent on an authority to define what are facts and what is reality.

Even when the US public education system was more oriented toward teaching the three "R's", there was heavy emphasis on arriving at the correct answers via prescribed and approved methods where unorthodox steps would often invalidate the results.

For example, adding a series of not round numbers (say,113+874+988=?) necessitated the student who was asked to demonstrate his work, to specifically add the rightmost (1's) column of digits of the respective addends and carrying the extra digit (excess of 10) over and adding to the next (10's) column then likewise totaling that to a sum and treating likewise appending extra digits to 100's and so on depending on the numbers being added. You had to total the 3, 4, and 8 to get 15. "5" becomes part of the solution below the line and "1" is carried and added to the next column of 1, 7, and 8, to get 17. "7" is written to the left of 5 and the 1 is added to the 1, 8, and 9 to get 19; with no more addend digits above the line, the approved method validates the correct answer.

                       113
                       874
                      +988
                      ______
                      1975

A less onerous method would simply to be converting not-round numbers to the nearest round number plusor minus the difference then do simpler math.
                      113 becomes 100+13 874 becomes 900-26 and 988 becomes 1000-12

                      100
                      +900
                      +1000
                      ______
                      2000

                      and

                      13
                      -26
                      -12
                      ______
                      -25

                      then

                      2000
                      -25
                      ______
                      975

The second method wouldn't pass muster with all math teachers because one did not use the accepted and taught method of arriving at the correct answer- even if the alternative way could be mathematically validated.

If you didn't follow instructions your correct answer would be marked as incorrect. This type of "instruction" rewards those who are more heavily dependent on an authority to guide thinking and reasoning.

Personally I use it as a forum where I can share my points of view and not be subject to the whims of bully moderators who engineer rule violations to facilitate censoring unwelcome opinions and banning those who have them... Reddit-style.

Agreed 100%... there's an ongoing effort to control and restrict all speech everywhere and should Saidit start to rival Reddit in popularity, that trend will almost certainly spread here. That means that I'm destined to receive my eventual permanent ban here just as I have from Reddit.

The rot on social media emanates from its administration as it answers to whatever powers that be who have the ability to pull the proverbial plug. All things globalism are to be promoted and alternative views and dissent disallowed.

IF we can focus on Accretive Dialogue for our usurper-free Dom,
for a shift in mind set so big that it will bury the ancient, top-down, usurping, pyramidian paradigm,
dissenting thought will be protected under the new usurpation-free paradigm

Whether intentional or not, sites such as this do keep people corralled.

Often in "free speech" sites, you see many advising to stay off of Facebook, reddit, and twitter. This only serves to further isolate and segregate those who possibly can see from those who might can. They don't want free thinkers interacting with others and potentially opening their minds.

Even so, which depiction do you see Saiditors - after hanging out on SaidIt - as being in: panel#3 or panel#4?

I can't really place majority in either. I have seen sites that are definitely more #3. Those types haven't overtaken saidit as badly as others.

Saidit usually has a few outliers at least to call out an alternate view, but they aren't a majority so still not #4 enough either.

There are a lot more low quality submissions than there used to be, so more to sift through to look for good posts.

Design fails are entertaining but it's problematic when that's all that they watch.

Something that's frustrating for me is when you see some people getting that certain things are fake, psyop, propaganda but then turn around and buy all in to something else.

Like, some coworkers could see through the jab but then in the next minute were obsessed about that stupid Johnny Depp/Amber Heard bs or other dumb celeb fake news.

I'd even had one acquaintance finally took the jab because he said they made him, which was a lie. His job never had mandates so he just caved under propaganda but didn't want to admit it to me.

Like, if people who can see can still be distracted or persuaded to do what they know is wrong, it's just a tough battle to try and get people who can continue holding the line to try and do what's right. If celeb news or popular opinion is enough to sway some who can actually see, then who will be left when there is more pressure?
