Do you believe eating food gives you energy and keeps your body alive?

You show that you believe this because you eat every day, multiple times a day. Some of you might eat too much, not willing to ever let the belly go empty. Do you fear having an empty belly, as if you would die? “I'm starving to death!” Some might exclaim, despite their soul being enclosed in a thick layer of fat.

Religious people might say all you need for eternal life is to “believe in Jesus”. But which of their actions prove they believe in him? And what about you? You eat food, showing you believe in its power to give you temporal life. What is your action that shows you believe Jesus gives you eternal life?

My recommendation for those who want to live: Consume God's word daily with more zeal than you put into eating physical food that ends up in the toilet. Physical food passes away, but God's word shall never pass away.

Jesus is the bread of life that came from heaven. Are you eating enough bread?

You may start mixing ingredients and trying your best to come up with dishes, but without a baseline knowledge of thousands of years of cooking, you'll make a lot of mistakes. God's word shall never pass away.

They're not all showing the longevity you might hope for.

  • Exodus 22:21 “You shall not wrong or oppress a resident alien, for you were aliens in the land of Egypt.
  • Leviticus 19:34: The alien who resides with you shall be to you as the native-born among you; you shall love the alien as yourself, for you were aliens in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.
  • Leviticus 25:35 “If any of your kin fall into difficulty and become dependent on you,[a] you shall support them; they shall live with you as though resident aliens.
  • Deuteronomy 10:18 who executes justice for the orphan and the widow, and who loves the strangers, providing them food and clothing.

It doesn't seem to go into how you should make up stories about them eating cats, resulting in a backlash against resident aliens, so hateful that they're afraid to leave their home.

Excellent points - and there's Christ's famous commandment - "love your neighbor as yourself."

And for what it's worth, ancient Egyptians prohibited the consumption of cats, whereas dogs were sometimes consumed in Bronze Age Greece. But Deuteronomy 14:3-8 is rather specific when prohibiting the consumption of pigs, camels, rabbits, and rock badgers, whereas one can eat ox, sheep, goat, deer, gazelle, roebuck, wild goat, ibex, antelope, mountain sheep. If one would want to put the pet-eating matter in context, I suppose we could locate many different traditions world-wide.

Trump's and his supporters' treason and attacks against the US and its communities are certainly un-Christian, by any standard, I'd argue.
