You could go to an AA meeting and start thinking about giving up the booze.

Do you know that you don't even have to be sober to go to an AA meeting? The only requirement for membership is that you have a desire to stop drinking.

You can show up shitfaced drunk, but they do ask that you be quiet during the meeting if you've been drinking in the last 24 hours.

It wouldn't kill you to go, you did say that you're not in pain.

I could be your temporary sponsor if you'd like.

What, chronic pain or depression? I might need a different answer depending on your circumstances.

Chronic pain. Ended up being caused by polycythemia and that's been fixed.

It seems like you live tormented by something. Let the past die. Kill it, if you have to.

Tormented by actual physical pain yes. But it's over now 🥳

lift weights reasonably

[–]American_Muskrat[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Yeah I need more muscles.

[–]Entropick 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Muscle is a benefit but it's not even that, your skin and organs and brain and shit feel so much better, work much better, everything functions easier, as we age it's essential.

I feel like this should have been picked up by any reasonable doctor after one or two standard blood tests. You should sue them for incompetence.

[–]Jiminy 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I think they say they're testing it but then just throw the blood out.

[–]American_Muskrat[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yup, you are absolutely correct, except no lawyer will take the case since the doctor's liability is capped at only a quarter mil. Not worth fighting big insurance companies over that. I might double check that just to be sure, but I've heard other chronic pain patients had the same problem.

They also tried treating it with a ridiculous number of drugs that would never have any effect on polycythemia.

Might see if at the very least I can get the state medical board to do something

So you gave away your pain to /u/Brewdabier? Kind of an inconsiderate solution...

What do you enjoy doing for a living?

[–]American_Muskrat[S] 3 insightful - 3 fun3 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 3 fun -  (20 children)

Can I get paid for shit posting?

[–]Honkytonk 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (3 children)

Some people make a lot of money posting shit.

[–]American_Muskrat[S] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

I know, I want in on that.

Personally I don't want to be bothered with it but I have a friend that makes $85/day but he has to pull a 10-hour shift.

It's amazing what people pay for propaganda.

Saiditors tell me that George Soros is hiring.

EDIT: Perhaps I should clarify that I've asked about proper professions, not shitposting.

Make a new Yahoo or Hotmail email, claim to be a professor, log onto Quora and post pro-Liberal statements and vilify Trump and Trump supporters. Make $100 a day from Moveon.org doing that.

How do you bill Moveon.org for your posts?

[–]WoodyWoodPeckerHah he he he hah! 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (12 children)

You have to sell your soul to George Sorros first and then sign a contract in blood.

[–]ActuallyNot 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (11 children)

Ahh.

I thought you were talking about an actual thing.

So the people being paid to manipulate opinions on social media regarding the presidential election are predominantly the Russian based pro-trump posts?

[–]WoodyWoodPeckerHah he he he hah! 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (10 children)

Russia is pro-Harris because she is weak.

Russia isn't pro-Harris. Trump plans to hand Ukraine to the Kremlin

Mr Trump stated clearly that he wants to end all wars.

My hands are still kinda fucked, think that's a separate issue, but a relatively minor one. I am considering trying BPC 157 peptide injections for that

Congrats. Use your new found pain free life to get out and hike barefoot and ground to the earth!

Hell yeah camping season is coming up too.

Caused by vaccines you had as a kid

[–]American_Muskrat[S] 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Caused by smoking/air pollution. Wife always insisted on us smoking inside. We had some big fights over that. I ran at least two, and as many as three filters at a time that were supposed to pull cigarette smoke from the air but when I got an air purifier that measured air quality I knew exactly what was causing the polycythemia. It was just off the charts bad.

I actually knew I had polycythemia in 2019, but it was never suggested that could be causing all the pain. It's not supposed to. It can cause bone pain. I would not call what I experienced bone pain.

Stupid doc could have just read my medical file...

Anyways in 2019 they just said stop smoking and I tried but then Covid hit and I kinda forgot about it as I didn't think that was the source of the pain. That might not have worked anyways, as I would still have been in a smokey environment.

It was a feedback loop. The worse I felt the more I'd just sit around and smoke ciggs. Which would make me feel even worse.

And red blood cells take a while to cycle. Being away from my apartment for a week or two wasn't long enough to have an effect. I didn't see any improvement till about a month, maybe a month and a half later.
