Yesterday I made a basic spreadsheet that supports javacript formulas.

You do still need to manually enter cell addresses with =cX:Y:Z
notation. But the UI changes should help with improving that, because now there are text inputs that will grab focus and you can do more custom interactions. I am thinking about having shift-click do address pasting for formulas.
The viewport is still 2D-centric, but as soon as the UI exists to select different planes to view, the formula system is already 3d.
