Now, it's possible for that to be a true statement. Just how bad did he think that Biden was going to be?
Biden might have been "better and more progressive" than the incredible shitshow Ro thought Biden was going to be.

Followed by the GWB interview on a plane (election day, 2000) while seated next to his brother (Jeb!), the then Governor of Florida.
GWB was asked about NBC calling Florida for Gore earlier that afternoon, GWB smirked and said "Oh, I don't think so."

That is odd, and very difficult to accomplish with just wind and fire.

Some of the other stuff you're describing can be done by just wind and fire, and similar things to them have probably happened before, elsewhere.

But small pieces of metal getting hot enough to char wood without the rest of the wood charring? If that's what actually happened, that's quite odd.

Just be sure that there isn't some other piece of information left out that puts it back into the "possible by wind and fire alone" category.

And if you have evidence of things that microwaves can do, but fire and wind cannot, go with that.

Adding in things that wind and fire can do just muddies your evidence. Like the nails. I had hopes for the nails.
Fire and wind would have a tough time getting a single unconnected nail hot enough to char wood without the fire and wind charring the wood at the same time.

But when you add in metal fencing connecting the nails, you've just built a wood burning kit for the fire to play with.
Remember wood burning kits? Basically a soldering iron to burn your initials into a plank with? You get metal hot enough and you can char wood with it.

Try it this way: Suppose you have magic powers to control what the wind does, let's call it AirBending.
But only during intense fires.

Could you, through control of the air in a fire, make these effects happen?

Could you swirl a swath of cooler air around a favorite Banyan tree to save it while all around it burns? Yes.
Could you make it so that one quadrant of a car just melts but the opposite corner is still like new? Yes.
Could you make this stack of tires erupt in flame while another stack three feet away doesn't? Yes.

All that you could theoretically do through magic control of the winds, Wind and Fire is capable of doing, at least once.

Could you make a single nail in a tree burn part of a tree at point of contact, without harming the rest of the tree? Don't think so.
[Edit: you could, if you had some other metal attached to the nail that you could heat up instead of heating the nail directly.]
Could you, shown a pile of identical-looking tires, make only the ones containing steel belts burn? Don't think so either.

If that kind of thing happened, I would suggest focusing on those things that Wind And Fire in combination cannot do.
If you could do it through AirBending, it's possible that Wind and Fire in combination really did it.

It clearly burned only where the cross-runners were nailed on.

Metal conducts heat better than air. And melts at a much higher point than the flash point of wood.
The metal runners could have heated up the wood at point of contact, if the runners were still attached at the time.

Unconnected nails in wood burning the wood (without the rest of the wood burning) would need a different cause.

What remains suspicious are homes reduced to ash while the trees surrounding them retained their needles and small branches. Or the blue umbrellas fully intact next to the charred remains of the building. Or the intact and unmarked wood landing adjacent to the burned shell of the mobile home.

With enough wind in enough different directions, and with enough data available to pick and choose specific fire weirdnesses...
It's not really that suspicious. After almost any major hurricane, reporters will go and find that one weird thing the hurricane did or didn't do.

What remains suspicious are homes reduced to ash while the trees surrounding them retained their needles and small branches

Fire and wind combined does weird things, but it does not usually do that. There's usually a path. Most likely, either someone torched their own home for the insurance money and the fire didn't get there, or you saw selective footage that did not show how the fire got to the home in question. The fire could have gone in one slim finger to the house, torched it and stopped. Then the film shows a 350 degree angle around the house of unburned trees.

Huge wildfires have done stranger things. Such as embers reaching a house from above and creating a firenado.

I thought more about this as it relates to the fence burning from the nails inside. Plausable...

It would also depend upon where the nails were. Occasionally there would be a nail not attached to the metal part of the fence, to hang something on. Did those nails (not attached to anything) also burn the posts? If the effect was electrical from the metal fence, those would not have burned.

If there were such a thing as a Carrington Gun, and if it were to have been used, either all the nails would have burned the posts, or just the nails at right angles to the direction of the alleged beam. Is there evidence of either of those things?

...except the power in Lahana had been cut.

The professional psychologist's association that sent that poll is not a passive observer in this. That was my point.

That was my point as well. The question (actually a paraphrase of a question) was not quite a neutral one. It seemed a bit slanted to get more yesses than nos.

They weren't just polling their members out of the blue, much less to nudge them into recommending suicide to their patients.

The concept of "recommending suicide" seems to only be in the title of this post. The reference (paraphrased) question was referring more to "will you be affirming in their decision and help them through the process" for someone who had already made the decision to do so.

I personally think that the question should have been broken into two parts: 1) would you be affirming in their decision and 2) if they are firm in their decision, would you help them through the process. Those two parts might end up, for some people, being yes on one and no on the other.

A psychologist has to know that this sort of survey has to be language-neutral if it is to gather reliable data.

But the question (or at least the paraphrase of it) is far from neutral. It seems to have been crafted to get as many yeses as possible.

If MAiD is implemented to include mental health illnesses, and you have a patient who wants to utilize the program....

Those are two big IFs to start off with. You have a patient coming to you, knowing about the program, theoretically understanding the program, and theoretically qualifying for the program.

will you help them through the process?

How could a decent therapist say no to that? The trick is the "will you be affirming in their decision" that they seemed (to me) to have stuck in there, hoping no one would notice.

The question might be "language-neutral," but it's still quite slanted. IMO, too slanted to get reliable data from it.

Even if legal they should NOT increase in volume or ratio of cases.

Which raises a question I've been curious about: as the numbers of "government assisted suicides" go up, are the numbers of "unassisted suicides" going down?

it should never be OFFERED by any advocate or taken lightly when demanded or brought up by a patient; this is a very serious "solution", and should remain a rare[ly] appropriate one.

Suicide is not and will never be a valid "option" to be "explored" with someone under your care - someone to whom you have a fiduciary duty.

It shouldn't be explored even when they bring it up as was posed in the question?

So what do you do when they do bring it up? Shut them down and simply tell them to not do it? Way to therapy there, dude.

“If MAiD is implemented to include mental health illnesses, and you have a patient who wants to utilize the program, will you be affirming in their decision and help them through the process?”

Now, that's a more clear question than the one described in the title.

And "Hell no" would be my answer too, but not in the same way. The "be affirming in their decision" is the sticking point for me. IMO, a therapist should not be affirming, nor the opposite of affirming. A therapist should be helping the patient find the best option for the patient without any steering toward any particular option.

Here's a quick analogy: Suppose the patient just discovered that they had very recently become pregnant. At that stage, there are basically three options: 1) get rid of it now/abortion, 2) get rid of it later/adoption, or 3) don't get rid of it/keep it.

What happens if the therapist is anti-abortion, but their patient is not? Does that first option just never get mentioned or discussed, even if it happens to be the best option for that patient at that time? Just a big NO if the patient even mentions it? Or should it be discussed, neutrally, so that the therapist helps the patient figure out which of the three options is best for the patient?

Same with suicide. It's possible (theoretically) that, in some rare cases, suicide IS the best option. The therapist's role (IMO) is to help the patient make sure that the option the patient decides to take IS the best option the patient can take.

If suicide is NOT the best option in this particular case, they can figure that out together.

Also, the question removes the scenario of the therapist saying "Boy your life is rough. Have you looked into this Government Assisted Suicide thingy?" In the question, the patient is bringing it up. Therefore (IMO) it should be discussed. Without the therapist pushing for a yes or no.

And, to restate the original question, if, after all the discussion and analysis between therapist and patient, the patient is still at "yes, this is what I'm going to do".... would you as a therapist help them through the process?

Edit: Or would you refer them to someone who could actually do that?

Try turning the question around for a bit.

If "assisted suicide" were illegal (as it has been in several places for quite a while)...
would psychotherapists recommend it to certain of their patients, despite its illegality?

In theory, there is the rare patient (possibly extremely rare) for whom that would be the best option. Would you deny them that option?

Also, I hope the original question actually meant "mentioning the option as an option to be explored (as an option)" instead of "hey, why don't you try this? It's cheap, fun and quick."

I wonder if that image at 0.12 is fake

Well, that IS a classic technique: leak fake evidence of a true thing so that the (easily debunkable) "evidence" can be used to argue that the true thing isn't actually true.

For example, using a (quickly identifiable) body double, or having something in frame that could not have existed at the time when the "evidence" was supposed to have actually taken place. "Look! It's fake! Therefore what you are accusing this person of never happened!"

No... that just means that this one piece of "evidence" is fake.

Years before that, we were advised by a friend in hospital management always to have family advocates present when a loved one was inpatient,

I've always had a standing rule: Someone else has to be there, if at all possible.

My favorite story: Patient had 103 fever, no discernible cause (apparently). Teaching hospital, new Residents/Interns had just arrived two days earlier.

Appendicitis was suspected but not confirmed. Decision was to keep patient until something changed and a ruptured appendix would confirm suspicions. Exasperated, I said "You've got an ultrasound up in OB/GYN! <points in that direction> Why don't you just go look??!?"

They looked at each other and left. Ultrasound was done next morning. Kidney infection.

(I think ultrasounds are now SOP in some cases.)

You could have also gone with "no US State" (Since Hawaii was not one when it was attacked).

Also, December 7, 1941 was not "during a war." War were declared later.

On the other hand....

Suppose they did come out with a "transmissible vaccine," one that if you got the shot you could involuntarily pass that alleged disease protection on to dozens, hundreds, thousands of people.

Those that did not want that sort of experimental at-least-semi-living thingy in their bodies would be masking up, "social distancing," and sterilizing everything around them to protect themselves against both the disease and against the "protection" from the disease. Which should, theoretically, reduce transmission rates of the disease itself.

Thus increasing the (later) claimed effectiveness of the "transmissible vaccine."

(If those that came out with a "transmissible vaccine" actually admitted to doing it)

Vaccine Antibodies Shed In the Breath

Unless those are viable antibodies that can replicate themselves in another human body, that's not enough to call something a transmissible vaccine.

I've always thought that a "transmissible vaccine" would be the gold standard of disease eradication, as long as nothing goes horribly, horribly wrong with it. But then again, if done that way, there would be vastly reduced profits.

...the animal version, which can also contain additives that humans don't take well to that aren't found in the human form...

I asked about that when this story first broke, and got crickets.

IF the "animal version" had something in it that was good for horses, but bad for humans, they could have just said so, and avoided a lot of the controversy. But they did not. "Ivermectin itself is fine for humans under proper dosage," they could have said, "but our formulation also contains [X], which is not. If you are human, do not take our formulation." But they did not ever say that, AFAIK.

All that was said was "This says 'for horses' on the label, not 'for humans'."

I had checked on a similar human/non-human drug, and the amoxicillin for fish turned out to be the same exact pills as the amoxicillin for humans. The main difference was that one was only available from a pharmacy with a prescription, in a bottle of 30 pills, and the other could be picked up at the pet shop for a bottle of 100. Same exact pills. But the latter says "for fish" on the label, not "for humans."

Extra point... "which can also contain additives" is at least one step away from "which does also contain additives."
