They seem to really have gotten locked down by the Reddit purists (and the SD situation has particularly become ridiculous.) It’s been a bummer because I used to be able to help otherwise lost people on there from time to time.

In the comments of an r/TwoSentenceHorror post, we are reminded that cops are always and forever the real enemy... by LordoftheFlies in MeanwhileOnReddit

[–]Mr9to5 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

The fake cop bashing on Reddit is really tiring. Not just in itself but because you know that most of them are the types who would call the cops for the most petty, frivolous reasons. I saw a thread on one of my local subs where someone said “they thought they heard” a racist joke at a driving range and someone suggested calling the cops in case a racist assault happens nearby. When they think they’re clever and don’t outright say call the cops because they actually want everything policed everywhere, they’re always saying to appeal to some limp-wristed authority figure, like state regulators because your job made you mad.

Oh yeah, I was college age and wherever I went, there was “Occupy Something,” with ever declining quality. I come from pretty humble roots and read the Redneck Manifesto as a teenager and pretty much knew the score from Day One. Working class youth grow into marginalized working class adults, except for a minority by very hard work, while “student activists” are generally from a sheltered class and become tenured professors. Still, through Nationalism, I considered myself somewhat open to socialism and wanted to keep an open mind. But one does not feel so nice after a while, when you’re commuting hours each day to a mostly commuter school and you can’t do something administrative because the building is closed because a bunch of entitled, dirty wannabe hippie douchebags want to whine to the center Democrat administration that they can’t make their history degrees free. I’m sure that experience was happening all over America.

Yeah, it’s a lot of hippies. Most of the NS/fashy ISKCON people are essentially random Twitter accounts. Prabhupada Truth is the website I think I encounter most often that attempts to promote both. It’s a mixed bag, some Reptilians level content. I did see a skinhead with 14 and 88 tattooed on his cheeks and a bunch of Hare Krishna tattoos at a temple once but I don’t know the background. Someone told me they knew who that was and he died in an accident a little afterwards.

[–]Mr9to5 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

There’s some fashy ISKCON supporters out there, you can find them scattered across the Internet and a few publishers that carry ISKCON books, including Patriotic Dissent. I believe Prabhupada is generally known to have viewed Hinduism as having a pan-Aryan element and believed the flowering of it in the West was the re-awakening of it. He also used this idea alongside many incompatible ideas selectively for recruiting, which is why I’m not ISKCON.

George Burdi was pushing a similar line for many years, I believe he still considers himself aligned with Sanatana Dharma. He’s with the Dharma Nation guy.

I studied with a Hindu guru for a while when I was young but ultimately drifted away because I’m too much of a Social Darwinist. I believe life is basically Battle and the Strong and Active survive. I tried many times to reconcile this with “the surviving Paganism” as I understood but ultimately renunciation creeds are anathema to the spirit that births great deeds.

I wouldn’t do what he does but when I was younger, this whole political scene was significantly more LARPy and there were plenty of people the denizens of the Internet now would guess were “Feds” that are still around, a few of whom are in prison (but proud and ready for the day they can be free to do activism again) - many, many more of whom are raising families and looking back and laughing at the wild fun they had, none of whom had people arrested near them or anything like that that would actually warrant a fedjacket.

I almost view their violence shitposting as comedy at this point because they are so stirred up and disoriented by their own misinformation. There’s about one half assed “bash the fash” type of post in my local area subreddit a week. Well, by the time they misdirect themselves the wrong way about 10 times, they aren’t bashing anything. They’ll decide some alternative health person who isn’t even political is the fash over some Covid vax type of statement. Then someone with a mean bumper sticker that flipped them off in traffic. Then, a church. A few months ago, someone asserted they heard a racist joke about Asians from a random other customer at a driving range and people suggested everything from finding the mean joker to harassing the driving range with mean phone calls to calling the police and “reporting felony racist activity,” which isn’t even a thing. They are dumber than I ever imagined. Meanwhile, in this area, there are literally some open WNs, Birchers and the like that have been around for ages that they would view as Satan but afaik haven’t had any issues with these buffoons.

Seriously though, I went to Gab for 6 months and came back to Reddit briefly and it still amazes me how much more cooperative of an environment Gab was. It’s known for it’s trolls but I didn’t really see much of anyone getting into fights they didn’t help instigate and I had 90% positive interactions as someone who only tried to build people up. Whereas, if I even just search for info on Reddit, I can find old threads where people literally are picking on children for not understanding how the world works or mocking the grocery store people use or fighting over their own misreading of comments. This is the “mainstream” outlet. They’re not even acting like children, they’re below children.

I wasn’t originally going to play but some of the shittiest people I’ve met are SE Asians and lower class Chinese. When I was a kid, they would work as a unit to succeed - all studying together, doing everything together.

But this wasn’t some benevolent AmRen la la land utopia. They’d often be the bullies, talk about how white kids like me were “inferior” and taunting us about something they had that we didn’t. They were always super materialistic and thought we gave a fuck about their bling or some bullshit. Some became involved in gangs and were really no better than black or brown.

In school, they taught us about “the boat people” like it was slavery and we should feel bad about it, even though literal Communism caused the problem. Meanwhile, Vietnamese particularly took over many of the areas that used to be predominantly white, planting their Southern Vietnam flag that the MAGAtards love so much like a conquering army wherever white people weren’t anymore. Those areas became dens of massage parlors and gambling and even look like shit on the street level.

I can’t even count the number of Vietnamese and Chinese who’ve tried to play political games against me or outright scam me at jobs. Dudes think they’re Sun Tzu when they couldn’t even talk themselves out of a parking ticket. The new generation is much more Americanized but the old generation tries to play the based card sometimes. They’re as fucking “based” as Ben Shapiro - only for themselves and ready to gay op on you always.

From what I can discern, it only shows if you log in on an account that has posted on pro-sobriety subreddits. I like to encourage young people not to drink or use on an alternate account.

I’ve never used hard drugs but sometimes mindlessly float the associated subreddits because I like things like true crime and outlaw stories and it’s kind of interesting to me to see the real thing. Apparently, if SAMHSA doesn’t save me, I’m doomed now.

I personally really enjoyed Carolyn Yeager’s old podcasts, particularly the Heretic’s Hour and Hitler’s Table Talks shows. You can find them on the radio archive on her page. I really feel she’s generally realistic and truthful about what the NS worldview is and how people really lived.

Prussian Socialism on The Right Stuff network is kind of a more current equivalent. I also like Volkish.org’s podcast Manifest Destiny, though (sadly) they make less episodes. I know you didn’t mention podcasts but I love podcasts. All three shows cover material that is from outside that period as well but relate it back to it.

Based on my experience with trying to use dating sites in a red area (albeit one that is quickly turning purple), it seems surprisingly common. I am curious how much these apps filter to actively promote it. There seems to be endless left-wing young women who call themselves non-binary, asexual, bi or queer and tbh, I can’t even tell if their sexuality is that different from straight because they’ve been trained to make a bigger deal of these labels than they deserve.

I can’t say I know anyone directly who is trans but my normie friends know people who are. This was true 15 years ago too and I don’t particularly believe it’s changed, it’s just been made a big deal by the media.

I distrust right-wing groups that want it to be the main thing because it seems to be the main way to distract from race right now.

This is why a sane society doesn’t just take the Abbie Hoffman/Crimethinc line about shoplifting - that repeat shoplifting is just a victimless expropriation from capitalists. Repeat shoplifting opens the door to something as simple as a shove happening. A shove can lead to a fatal injury even with a healthy person if they fall on the spine the wrong way. But disproportionately, the victim will be someone vulnerable working a job like that, like this elderly man or perhaps a pregnant woman.

All I can say is they don’t get within arm reach of me. Can’t blame others for not thinking about it that way but hopefully, we all do.

For a good place for a starting point, of how our struggle today connects to paganism, I recommend two great books:

Memories and Reflections of an Aryan Woman by Savitri Devi (no English translation is on sale that I know of but it’s available online)

On Being A Pagan by Alain de Benoist

These works both are metapolitical and try to articulate a pagan ethos.

Here in the US, Asatru Folk Assembly has basically absorbed a broad landscape of folkish, nationalist and reactionary pagan groups. They are international and have some overseas chapters. People agree and disagree with different things they do but most everyone I know considers them honorable and serious at what they do.

I mean, I kind of had a Klassen reaction to this when I saw it earlier. Islam has not grown exponentially, which is good because if we keep it under control, the Muslim birth rate alone won’t flood out the true British. It is probably more important for European countries that Islam stays weak than that European religions strengthen.

Secularism grew and that seems like it is only more people being honest with themselves that they don’t really care about their nominal churches. The problem with the UK is they saw how close the BNP came to reaching the mainstream in the 2000s and are trying to annihilate any free expression once and for all. When I first considered identifying as secular during that period, one of the first consequences was I lost all guilt about expressing our ideas - but people still have to know the ideas to endorse them.

[–]Mr9to5 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I think there’s a lot of wishful thinking on the Right about opting out of college, especially in the Libertarian American Right. The truth is you really have to have a concrete plan to opt out of college and have it work in a way where you can support a family. Same if you go to college, too. But guys will be like “ahh but I’ll learn a trade” or “I’m going to leave Commie Seattle where I have roots and move to Montana with no connections to live the Trad life” - but then they never do it and end up all financially screwed up. I know solid guys who are things like pipefitters and make good money- but I’d tell a kid who is 18 or 19 and wants to do that, you got to hang out with guys who can get you in there right now, so you can place in a year. Networking is maybe more important when you’re starting blue collar than white collar. Maybe even certifications are more important when you’re blue collar for a lot of things, too.

I literally spent college drawing crucified skinheads in my notebook and skipping class to read books by Gobineau you couldn’t check out in the library. I was considered a high performing student and it literally consisted of me reading 10-20 pages a class a week and regurgitating reformulated ideas. I hate lectures because I saw no point because I actually read what they were just reading slowly on a PowerPoint. Nonetheless, I couldn’t do what I do today without a degree and ironically, I got my degree heavily subsidized under a program for “minority students” that included a clause that very low income (white) students could also qualify. It’s stupid as heck but people get too caught up in ambiguity - a lot of things are ambiguous and weird under this system because it’s very artificial but if you see a net advantage to doing something, hey, I did it. My only regret is I wish I’d been in a program focused on hard skills, like accounting or computer science. I unfortunately opted for a soft skill major but made it work. And like the blue collar path, it always has to come back to developing some kind of vision a program can’t give you.

I’ve noticed your average person making that claim seems to be a career academic from somewhere like rural Canada or Nebraska. I think there’s a heavy dose of wishful thinking. Something as simple as the sociology of much of the American prison system shows a practical example of it not holding up in a major social experiment. No word yet on if actual exposure to “racist extremists” helps them better understand anything about us.

Canada is increasing immigration again. Now targeting 500,000 per year by 2025. by radicalcentrist in debatealtright

One of the most popular regional radio shows in my area used to broadcast in the 90s/early 2000s about immigration, to the point of getting people to show up at city halls, troll call local politicians and actually to some degree, show up. People loved it and would tune in religiously. I still have fond memories of my Mom driving me home from middle school and listening to them troll some Chicano activist by saying “how it was time to impound the clown cars and send them back.”

A lot of it is moral cowardice. That same show had a minor spat with a black activist, got woke and has not touched anything resembling the racial angle since. Last I listened to them, I almost called in to curse them out because they were talking about all the type of (implicitly white/native born) workers who don’t actually deserve their jobs, like the good cuckservative traitors they decided they’d rather be.

I don’t claim any special knowledge but I’ve never been particularly impressed by Jewish intelligence. For one thing, Ashkenazi Jews, which tend to be the most cited, are admixtured with Russians and Germans. When Ashkenazi intelligence is played up as some special Jewish trait, I’m always like “have you met the average German or Russian ex-pat?”

Most Jews I’ve known have never been particularly skilled at STEM and frankly aren’t even good debaters. They just kind of lazily float back to their own self-interest and are surprised I don’t just agree. For all the hostility at the right for the same thing, many are into “crank” science or social theories but their theories are far less likely. Many are sophists who can come up with very detailed ideas that’s component parts don’t actually add up logically. It’s almost as though their ancestors studied Talmud, a work with these characteristics, for thousands of years. Hmm.

I’ve tried not to discourage young guys from joining NJP because I feel like they’ve tried to be responsible and I may even give it a shot - but I have similar feelings. I’m only a couple people separated out from someone who went down under RICO. He was living a totally benign lifestyle and had become a born again Christian - but they grabbed him on old stuff to get him to testify. The old guard gets it, I wish I could get some of these young guys to watch more stuff by prison vloggers and similar sources to get a sense for how the American legal system treats people it doesn’t like - not to discourage them but to prepare them, you need to be ready for a dirty fight. You’ve got to try to look as bland as a church mouse when you’re outside of something like a rally - but also assume they’ll treat you like you have a swastika tattooed on your face. It’s not a game.

Yes, that was me. I’m writing off the cuff but he wrote quite a bit on misanthropy/the general failings of people in Essays and Aphorisms and Counsels and Maxims. He proposes a kind of neo-Stoic ethos as a way of coping with the way people are. That’s what initially pulled me in and those are fine reads.

World as Will and Representation can be read in a very fascist light - though Schopenhauer doesn’t go there, he passes by it many times. He writes how nature only cares about the species, not the individual. At one point, which I think certainly influenced Nietzsche, he considers that if human beings are driven by will (instinct) one could embrace life as a constant battle and “renounce” it that way, living heroically. He shys away and says it’s not the best ideal - but almost goes there. He views aesthetics and high culture as a way of escaping the meaninglessness of our daily life.

Hitler was said to carry a copy with him on the Front during World War 1. Wagner said his religion was Schopenhauer.

I think it’s something that probably has come around full circle - or it could be a new group of people following the same line of thought to the same conclusions. The situation was very similar back then.

Back then, there was a weak Buchanan/American Conservative Catholic thing in the US but it never really got anywhere because America ultimately remains a nation with a significant number of people who are ambivalent to Catholicism. Still, I looked at Catholicism and so did many others. The best there was to be found was stuff like Rod Dreher. There was also the perpetual Pope Problem - what to do about the fact the Papacy ultimately has been diverted to globalist goals?

Out of that and the first period of a significant number of people reading about Guenon/Evola (and to a lesser degree, the Iron Guard) came the idea of using Orthodox churches as both a spiritual and political basis. Doing so was “more nationalist” and “purer Christianity,” all without the Pope problem.

This was all very politically flawed because Orthodox Christianity is rare in America and the populations associated with it generally don’t want that type of uninvited outside attention. Heimbach ran into that, he was apparently inspired to enter politics from these ideas but when the heat was turned up, was quickly disowned.

One thing I definitely wouldn’t have expected was the Groypers. Traditional Catholicism is a more reasonable way to synthesize these ideas but I still wouldn’t have expected it to have had any success as a brand.

I agree none of this truly has to do with Dugin, more Western spinned “Duginism.” It’s been a decade since I read Fourth Political Theory but I don’t recall him saying half the thing people try to tack on him, including this stuff.

I have a feeling few people here will remember this period but around 2010, there was a real attempt to try to get movement people to become Orthodox Christians, vaguely inspired by Dugin fanboys. There was a website called the Orthosphere that encouraged this view and let people put themselves on a map to find other interested people. Unsurprisingly, no one for hundreds of miles was interested in this niche, dubious ideology.

I later visited a Russian Orthodox Church in hopes oil magnets praying there would adopt me and I could marry a based blonde. There were some hot babes but I had no idea what was going on for the nearly 2 hours of bowing and vernacular that isn’t my vernacular. I concluded this was not a magic pill to save the West. Alas, the highest accomplishment of the great Orthodox proselytization campaign was determining the fate of Matt Heimbach’s soul.

Kids, hug your Pepe doll close and be glad you didn’t live in that Stone Age.

The RAC scene in my general region seems to have just accepted Mexicans as part of the mix. It’s one of those things that’s surreal if I have to explain it but makes perfect sense if you’re there. They think political correctness sucks, Communism fucked up the places they’re from and they come from places that were flooded with refugees from worse places. It’s kind of funny because when I knew more of those kids pre-Covid, they still had to work so hard to make sure Antifa didn’t dox them. Goes to show how backasswards this society is - “Pedro is picture here with Warren Meikle. Look how they are enforcing the white hetero anti-immigrant patriarchy!”

It’s pretty abysmal. I attempted to promote the Constitution Party for many years, tried the Libertarians for a couple and knew members of A3P. The entire system from top to bottom assumes you’re going to register as a candidate for one of the two parties and punishes you if you don’t. In my state and many large urban ones, you may not even get ballot access if you say you’re part of a third party that is too small and there’s few safeguards that your write-in will be accurately recorded (strict rules for how it must be written, dubious oversight.) Some rural states have a less obstructionist process, so while you almost never see a third party candidate in my area that isn’t Libertarian or Green, you may see it in, say, Montana. But they know that’s not going to be commonly used. Hence, why you see so many American political factions that aren’t Democrat or Republican trying to shove themselves under those labels.

Non-electoral will unfortunately have more relevance for many years to come. Even for more electorally organized factions this is the case. My local Libertarian Party has multiple meetings each week, tries to swarm events by other groups and flexes it’s muscles significantly largely by staying out of the electoral process and focusing on agitation. When I was a Constitution activist, they never wanted to build a culture or think beyond theory. They never took off because they were conservatives in the weakest, most retreat oriented sense and with competition from MAGA are perhaps finally dead. A3P had similar issues because it was run by a fairly aloof, old school conservative style bunch (ex. Sunic), though people did pamphlet and agitate on a small scale. From these examples, even without the ideological background that Nationalism should be a fighting creed, we can see where NJP is succeeding because like the most passionate Libertarians it is acting as though it has a Total view of life that requires action and camaraderie. More importantly, it’s call to action is existential, we win or we’re over.

Do you have any Jewish friends? by [deleted] in debatealtright

I’ve unfortunately had enough Jewish friends to feel real pain about the way the world is. In my mid-20s I was burnt out on years of doing an ethnic leaning but still basically civic nationalist thing and decided to “broaden my horizons.” I moved to a major metro and lived in a fairly Jewish area. I even knew a fair amount of Orthodox Jews, rare in my native area.

Unfortunately, I got burned badly on a lot of these situations and had to learn things the hard way. I’d already known people who were into things like K Mac - but I wrote them off. I genuinely thought what Derbyshire called “the Jew thing” was a distraction from good dissident politics.

I don’t need to rehash details but a lot of things happened. Bad business dealings. Relationships where I genuinely helped people and then they were totally transactional with me (“I know we’re friends but what have you done for me lately?”) Attempts to flip on me with politically correct standards I knew they didn’t believe in themselves (“based Shapiro Jews” who were based when it served them but then tried to use the same things against me. LPT: Trust that the least.) It was a lot of very cowardly, messed up things.

I probably wouldn’t let my guard down again but I also wouldn’t with a lot of types of people. In this decadent society, a good majority of people are just shit anyways. I’m very cautious about who I let in.
