It was fresh(not so fresh) pasta. Dry pasta shouldn't be an issue. Note to self: even though the expiry date might be 3 weeks away, once the package is opened, you have less than a week to consume it or risk suffering from bacterial pathogens. Thanks! The expiry date was December 17th but I guess once the container is open you've got like 4-5 days. Anyway, they were raviolis and I chalked up the smell to the cheese in the stuffing. I was wrong... I wouldn't fuck around with oysters either.

It's like weed and alcohol, I always tell myself I should quit. If not forever then just for a short while like a tolerance break. But I find too much comfort in my proclivities(crutches actually).

As for doctors, I had a virtual appointment over the phone once(during schmovid) and the doctor offered me the jab and I said ''no way'' and she said ''it's safe and effective''. Funnily enough, I booked another appointment at that clinic and was told the doctor who saw me was no longer practising medicine...

I can attest. Anti-depressants are shit. Serotonine syndrom is a thing. It's all wishful thinking that a pill can pull you out of depression. It makes you feel different; kind of fuzzy, oblivious and removes some inhibitions which will make you say or do things you wish you hadn't. Then there's the increased tolerance to alcohol and drugs which will make you consume more than you should. Never mind the increased sweating, lack of libido and hit or miss climax.

I tried quitting cold turkey a few times but the withdrawal symptoms are really unpleasant. I told a doctor once that I'd like to be off them and he asked ''How do feel when you stop taking them?'' and I said ''not great', to which he replied, ''that's why you need to keep taking them''. I've met more supportive doctors but our healthcare system is so fucked that getting an appointment and some sort of medical follow-up is a headache.
