actually, it's quite difficult to spot a lie, esp in written form without physical clues/intuition, or coming from a talking head who's job is to emote certain emotions like any good actor.

Even if you Think something is "disinformation", it would be the height of arrogance to immediately assume you are Right and there is no other interpretation. Many times, something is partially wrong but not wholly wrong, as well.

Logic and scientific method demands we Question first of all; form a hypothesis, then gather evidence to prove or disprove our hypothesis. For example, I went down the Q rabbit hole for about a week. I thought it was bullshit, but I wasn't going to blindly accept the opinion of people I had no reason to trust (the MSM). I wanted to gather evidence for myself, form my own opinion. I went into my inquiry with an open mind ready to gather as much evidence as possible before forming my opinion. Conclusion: Q was bullshit, and even if it wasn't, why would I waste all that time and effort on something I was told was going to happen, regardless. Since it was going to happen (according to them) all I had to do is sit back, and wait for the "inevitable". If events did happen, then I would be proven wrong and I would happily admit I was wrong. But the acts of reading, studying, talking about it constantly was a waste of my time and effort unless I had some overwhelming Need to be one of the "in-crowd", made to feel "special" by operators who use the human desire to feel special for their own ends. I do not.

QAnon ended up being a ridiculous flamboozle. But I could say with all honesty, I came to that conclusion. The MSM has proven, factually, over and over, they are dishonest and have an agenda. They are pure propaganda for 1-party. If there is one thing I cannot abide, it's a liar. If you lie to me once, I no longer believe anything you say. Lying is the ultimate act of contempt for another person. And I do not like being treated with contempt. And what I will not do is blindly believe someone else's opinion. Our state offered solar deals to any homeowner who qualified. We would receive a reduced price if we agreed to also sell our unused power back to the local energy company. We thought it was worth looking into at least. An assessor came to the house and told us we would would have to cut down 80-90% of our wooded lot to even be considered b/c there were too many trees. We thought about it. But a) trees are already nature's perfect shade, breeze and cooling device. And b) provide habitat for birds and insects and maintain an eco-system for nature that is superior to anything else.

If we cut down the trees not only would our home be hotter and therefore, harder (and more expensive) to cool, but we would be destroying countless wildlife habitats for squirrels, birds, butterflies, rabbits etc. How is that going "green"?

A neighbor recently cut down 2 massive, old growth trees that provided shade to their home. The trees weren't diseased or a hazard. Recently I heard the wife complaining their energy bill had gone up. But oddly enough, she didn't seem to be able to make the connection (smdh).

The problem with that take is that most immigrants won't/don't join the military. When I was in the Army, sure, I met immigrants who served honorably, but thinking back on it, 1-African, 1-Irishman, 1-South African, 1-Chinese (nice guy, pretty sure he was a spy), 1-Russian and a couple of South Americans (both Chilean) isn't exactly a huge number of immigrants. More Hispanics and Asians were in the Army than any other ethnic group but most of them were 1st gen American, with the majority being Mexican/Central American of that group. I did know of 1-Afghan interpreter that managed to get to the States and join the military. Syrian=0. Almost all the Asians were born in the US, unless they were Pilipino. Granted those were the ones I met personally and became friends with so by no means a huge sampling. But thinking back on it, the % of immigrants who serve isn't a large number compared to the number who cross the border into the U.S. Even among American ethnic groups, the numbers were extremely low. 1-Lakota Sioux, 0=Eskimo, 2-Hawaiian.

You can't draft an immigrant. They have to choose to serve and immigrants aren't exactly lining up. Indians=Not a single one. Indians do not join the American military--period--1st, 2nd or 10th gen. They feel zero obligation to serve the country they moved to or they were born in. Yes, this offends me a little. There are a lot of Indians in the US. You'd think at least a small % would want to serve their country but they simply don't. (I looked up, why don't Indians join the military and it took me to a page full of articles about native Americans which was not what I was asking at all. I would love to have an answer to this question).

Its a good theory, but it doesn't play out in RL on the ground. The majority of immigrants want all the perks of living in the U.S but they aren't going to fight for you, or anyone else. If they were, they would stay in, and fight for, their own country. The fact that they didn't is indicative of their nature.
