When you make a link post there is no option to make any comment at submission time. Are you suggesting that when link posts are made the OP should also post a thread comment about why they posted it?

There are plenty of examples here and on the other site where the link alone generates conversations. Posting a comment to go along with a link could assist with this.

When you make a text post, there is a title section and a text section, so a title could go in the title part and the link and explainer could go in the text part.

I think automated removal is a bridge too far.

I love you guys by magnora7 in SaidIt

YouTube is rapidly becoming a dumpster fire. The “you” part of it was crushed a longtime back. Now it’s all about commerciality, monetisation, and becoming an alternate to TV.

When he exposed CIA, this incident was overshadowed by Clinton- Lewinsky scandal. The movie 'Kill the messenger' is about Gary Webb, his character is portrayed by Jeremy Renner. Respect for this man. by magnora7 in corruption

The movie is excellent, highly recommended. I think this might be Renner's best work, at the front of an incredible story.

This was my review of the movie.

As a lifelong Star Wars fan, I think we're getting a bit too much Star Wars these days. The rarity made it special in the old days. Now its like a fkn fire hose.

Gab Has Become Completely Unstoppable By "Federating" Now They Can't Get Shut Down by sawboss in DecentralizeAllThings

[–]SierraKiloBravo 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

I use noagendasocial.com which is an instance of Mastodon. The federation is the collective of all Mastodon instances. Like a giant venn diagram, each instance has their own turf, but can also view the rest of the "fediverse" and see what is out there beyond their own wall.

When I log into noagendasocial.com I can see my notifications in one column, the posts from everyone on noagendasocial.com in another column, and posts from the fediverse in another column. With Gab now joining the fediverse, I can now see posts from people posting from their instance in amongst all the posts from all the other instances.

I am not good at explaining things.

...we’re changing the eligibility requirement for monetization to 4,000 hours of watchtime within the past 12 months and 1,000 subscribers.

...channels with fewer than 1,000 subs or 4,000 watch hours will no longer be able to earn money on YouTube.

I would keep it as SaidIt - keep it simple.

What are your thoughts on QAnon?
