This for many is a basic form of meditation, rather than 'astral', but perfecting that tecnique is what's necessary for the out of body experience. Another group using this strategy refer to transcendental meditation, as taught by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, though it was also a bit of a scam. The meditation scheme was very good however, and helped with the feeling of weightlessness.
