Nice.

Just want to add that saidit's official version of the pyramid of debate has an extra level at the bottom: Advocating violence against individuals or groups.

One of the most telling quotes of all time.

Also the mom of the 5 sons of Rothschild who each started a central bank in a different European capital, once said "If my sons did not want war, there would be none."

Some people and organizations have way too much power, and use that to control people in destructive ways.

And there's this ongoing "coin shortage" in the USA that seems artificial, to drive people away from cash as well

Redditor from 2007 here. It's fallen so far in the last 13 years. It doesn't even resemble what it used to be. It used to more like news.ycombinator.com and have all sorts of interesting and thoughtful discussion. Reading it now feels like an assault on my senses and psyche

Within 1 hour, Reddit banned 2000 subs-almost all right wing, Twitch banned Trump's account, Youtube banned Stefan Molyneux, Twitter banned Sidney Powell, and the MSM all had long ass articles ready to go to praise it. They changed it back. During the peak of the migration they had the front page as just the login page, and you couldn't see anything without logging in, but you're right they changed it back. I think their servers were overwhelmed and that's how they chose to limit traffic temporarily

No problem, happy to help. Also if you want to back up subs from reddit before they're banned, here are some methods for doing so: https://saidit.net/s/MeanwhileOnReddit/comments/52vi/how_to_backup_your_favorite_banned_reddit_content/

I liked this wiki article. I learned that the "pied" in pied piper means "multicolored" and is referring to the clothing the piper wore.

And I had no idea this story potentially has a real basis in reality, in a town that has a street and church mural after the event. Pretty wild!

Reddit is shills leading children around like a literal pied-piper culture. The more clearly I see this, the more disturbing it becomes.

On the plus side, most people now have been exposed to a forum before, so it's more now a problem of migrating cultures, rather than people just learning what a forum is for the first time. Which was the case for the the usenet September 1993 example that created the phrase "Eternal September" after AOL came in to existence and flooded usenet.

Now it's people who have forum experience migrating to other forums. Which has positives and negatives. People are more sophisticated in their understandings of forums in general, but also some people bring bad habits from other low-quality forums.
