I am telling you what the reality of the status quo is, not my opinion on the matter.

but no one just becomes White because of their politics.

I agree.

Again this is the type of argument I usually here exclusively from leftists weirdos

Yes, I am basically explaining what they are saying. Just because I'm explaining something doesn't make it my argument, and I'm only doing so to make the point that they started making this change in definitions.

There are many Latin Americans including many Cubans in America who are genuinely racially White

I don't know about now, but a decade ago, I visited South America, and I'm also familiar with the culture, people don't think this way. Again, this might have changed now because of the Internet and lefties trying to change language, but not that long ago this concept didn't exist down there. Even light-skinned people in Latin America still considered themselves as Latinos or Latin American. The proof of this is that actual white people visiting Latin America are called "gringos". Nobody calls themselves "blanco", and if they do now, that's because of wokeness being exported around the world, but I doubt they do.

thenoriginal.colonies ... 1790 immigration act

At the point they weren't colonies anymore. I'm saying originally you had the Pilgrims and then people from England as the majority in the colonies, and then the war of indepence happened, and then other immigrants started coming over. At that point "whites" and "blacks" was very specific to whom it referred to. We speak English after all. Yes, there was immigration, but I'm pretty sure the vast majority of immigrants started coming well after the founding of the country.

Race and skin color are not the same thing. Political beliefs do not determine race. It is a biological phenomenon.

I agree. I was saying this is what the current status quo is, thanks to the left, and woke-ism. People might deny it, because the terms are meant to be twisted and meant to confuse people. They have changed the definitions of the terms on purpose, so now it's not just your bioligical race, it's a combination of your skin color and your beliefs. It used to be you are Latino if your family comes from Latin America, but now if you don't align with the politics (and call yourself Latinx, which is a fucking disgrace), you are also white, especially if your skin is light. Same applies to other races. It's called "double speak". They use a term with wrong deifnitions on purpose. Normies get confused, grow afraid, and then just conform, because they're normies.

[–]proc0 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Well then that's Australian white. The origin of the American term comes from when the majority of people where of Anglo-saxon descent. The story told now is that it kept expanding to include Europeans, but I think that is a twisted version of history.

The term was always used to mean the original Americans that arrived from England. Then society in America started taking steps towards being "color blind", so it did't matter and the term was not used as much, but now thanks to hateful people that term has been revived but not in its original form, and they lie about what happened. As an example, many Latin Americans would be considered white now, but definitely not a few decades ago. The reason is because now it is based on a combination of skin tone and politics.

I'm not very familiar with Obrador. Economically, from what I've read, it sounds like he falls in the same category of people that want communism to take over in Latin America, but I'm not sure here.

Evo literally thinks he is an Incan emperor, and well, you can't have a democracy if you think you are an emperor. He is the longest sitting president Bolivia had, and was elected 2006... about 15 years, the previous record held by a dictator (Banzer in 1970s).

I'll add this however, I think the descendents of the Incan people need more leaders, and I have no doubt they will be democratically elected, if they show respect for the law and their constitution, instead of attempting to revive an empire. Bo. like many other Latin American nations, was born out of a revolution, and the revolutionary spirit is still there and there is no way that they would go back to any empire Spain or Incan, without bloodshed. Maybe Evo could have peacefully broken up Bolivia, and declared the eastern part as its own nation, or even do a merger with Peru, because that whole area has similar lineage, and then revive the Incan empire that way.

Hmm, what about all the other examples of mass murder by one dictator/king/etc? All hoaxes? Or all justified?

The problem is centralized power and authority, especially in institutions or entities that outlive a single individual. So you'll have one benevolent dude for a few decades but sure enough hundreds of evil people are secretely plotting how to take over, and so it becomes inevitable. Then it's a horror show every time, and that is why history has progressed in the direction it has progressed, less centralization of power because it's so risky.

Again, it's the position itself, and the dictators of the 20th century did something even more evil, which is take over democracies, which were meant as decentralization of power. They take over and not only abuse power, but are setting things up for the next evil guy, unless of course war happens.

A king or an evil cabal of puppeteers, is the same -- centralized power. We need to decentralize power as much as possible. What I think has happened is that power is no longer effectively decentralized by our institutions after *[[computers and]] the Internent... coincidentally arriving at the end of WW2. Before the Internet, communication was sloooww and therefore you could still decentralize authority to a great extent. After the Internet, nobody knows WTF is happening, and why people get so easily manipulated, and OF COURSE the bad actors have taken advantage of this, and the result is a regression and decrease back into centralized power.

I don't know where things need to go from here, but it's certainly not more centralized authority of any kind. We probably need to leverage the Internet and go FULL decentralized government, I mean FULL, no one in Washington anymore, just the People and the Constitution (which btw is a huge milestone for decentralizing power), a military that mostly protects, and the Internet.

*:correction, we got computers after WW2, setting things up for the Internet, but this affected all other forms of communication, the idea here is that the world started getting fully connected, and "globalists" I guess are trying to centralize this power.

Nah, they will shut them down and it's easy if you control the ISP's (or overal physical network infra). Well, it was a rhetorical question, so agreed but I think it's not becuase they're not beating men, it's because they don't want to get beaten by them, which is part of my point of asymmetrical transitioning.

Yeah you are talking about traditional females. I'm talking about what is going on right now with all the wokeness, and how they are redefining women (or trying to, whether it will work or not). I agree women understand femininity and use it to their advantage sometimes.

[–]proc0 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Sure, however that is only because men still desire that... and that seems to be under attack (objectification of women). If we keep going with wokeness, desiring women will be wrong, it is patronizing and violence, which means that men will no longer see femininity as desirable, which means women will stop making themselves attractive and because they don't rely on men anymore, they can also be productive and work and make money, and thus, everyone is man-like.

Why can't you block admins? by Vulptex in SaidIt

[–]proc0 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yeah that's definitely a problem. it would need a bot filter of some kind. Many forums have implemented user hierarchies that affect voting power. This could work hand in hand with the admin hierarchy. All new users, including bots would have little voting power, and comparitively no influence to the vast majority of accounts that, in theory, would be used more often gaining more voting power... but this heavily depends on making sure human actions are rewarded, like commenting, and even implement machine learning on upvoting frequency etc, as oppose to simple things a bot would do.

Why can't you block admins? by Vulptex in SaidIt

[–]proc0 3 insightful - 3 fun3 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

There should be a hierarchy of admins, determined by their points on comments and submission, but also there should be a way to give feedback on the decisions they make. So if a comment gets removed, everyone can still vote on it, and the admin gets the points. In theory the admin with more points is the one whose actions agree with the users, and therefore should have the power to moderate any other admin below them.

I don't know if this is the solution, but certainly the current way crowd sourcing sites are moderated, is too easy to exploit and dominate the users. There is no incentive for admins to "behave" other than their own morals.

[–]proc0 4 insightful - 4 fun4 insightful - 3 fun5 insightful - 4 fun -  (0 children)

Bots upvoting is a serious feature flaw in aggregation sites. Only humans should be allowed to judge, after some spam filtering of course, but why tackle that as if it was legit content to begin with... upvotes should start after all the algorithms have checked the content, and then the upvote number should literally reflect number of humans that ciicked, at least IMHO.

However, many have been brainwashed to quarantine regardless of how effective it is. Unless, of course, you are furthering a political agenda, in which case pandemic is not applicable, apparently.

Yeah, I just mean the taxpayers would pay, otherwise I guess some large institutions would have to fail. I don't know about the technical terms but cancelation sounds to me like either returning a product or in the absence of it the loss is on the lenders, not the taxpayers. Therefore at least universities should be completely re-structured if such a price is to have any value in the future.

Unless all the teachers, university staff, book makers, etc., all return their money they received by students who got their loans, there is no "cancelling" this debt. We could instead say "bailout", and bailout students, however it would only incentivize another wave of predatory loans and useless careers. Now if we say, let's bailout all students, and abolish all public University funding (privatize all higher ed.), then that makes sense to me.

I've never even had an account. I think peopel who were online and avid surfers never needed a twitter. Community forums were ubiquitous and so were chats even back then (before SM, in 90's and 00's). The format was basically realtime or long form posts. Twitter became the platform for normal people that used to be the ones making fun of nerds for using trhe computer too much. Now everyone is online, and those character limitations have really destroyed the flow of conversations online. There is no need for that limiting format, tweeting an essay via 20 tweets is silly! We need to go back to community forums and realtime chats but now with some features like following users, which was not a feature back then.
