Absolutely ridiculous that Abigail Shrier's book is being categorised as "hate speech."

On another note, I cannot stand this guy.

"People aren't born gay. Your race, your sex, your species -- these are categories of being. They can't be altered or modified. They are given to you, they are you. They are part of your design. The same cannot be said of homosexuality. Your sexual proclivities develop as you get older and go through puberty. Your attractions aren't set in concrete from birth -- they change and grow and, in some cases, warp over time. What a homosexual is experiencing is a compulsion, a temptation, a proclivity."

I would always see extreme quotes from him talking about "umanly men" and I would think, fuck, this guy must be the biggest, meanest hunk I will ever lay eyes on. Then you look up his YouTube and he's this little sweaty dweeb you could snap in half.

That's exactly how it's being used on here and it's really frustrating. So, what, are there no bisexuals with shitty opinions on this subject? As soon as they start vomiting up woke homophobia they're probably not bisexual? Isn't that some kind of bi-erasure? There are plenty of insufferable gay men who are massive TRAs. Doesn't mean they're not gay, they're just fucking insufferable TRAs. When lesbians discuss their interactions with these hypocritical gay men, it never crosses my mind to respond with, "No, they're just fakes! Real gay men wouldn't do this!" They absolutely would and do. There are fakes, sure, but there are still lots and lots of insufferable gay male TRAs. The difference is I don't take these criticisms as a personal attack and desperately try to explain it away to make myself feel better (and gaslight lesbians in the process).

[–]silentdraperunners 11 insightful - 1 fun11 insightful - 0 fun12 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

There's no use, OP. You're either a biphobe or you're told it's actually just straight people pretending to be bisexual who are responsible for this type of stupidity. Never mind the fact that countless gay men and lesbians constantly have these experiences with bisexuals. Oh, sorry, I mean straight people pretending to be bisexual.

It was exactly the same over on Reddit before we got banned. Criticising the behaviour of some gay men, for example, was perfectly fine (and I agree that it's fine because I'm not a child who thinks any criticism towards gay men is a dig at me) but call out the pattern of some bisexuals promoting woke homophobia and suddenly criticism is "phobic," "hatred," and off limits. Sound familiar?

Slowly but surely most if not all lesbians and gay men will just stop going to these events. I've completely removed myself from everything associated with pride/lgbt from around 2015. And it's obvious our absence is felt. There's been a few screenshots on here showing TRAs asking their peers "is it just me or are there hardly any gays in LGBT spaces these days?" Maybe one day the penny will drop that they're the reason for it.

Yep, these people have been using gays and lesbians for years to work their nonsense into public consciousness and now they're finally at the forefront. They bad mouth gays and lesbians constantly but the truth is they still need us/our history to bolster their narrative and presence. Good for them, but they still try to make themselves feel better by saying this. No, all straight women and gay men. If the person wants to pursue a romantic or sexual relationship with you, they're clearly not straight/gay.

Consent is consent. They've agreed to have sex with a guy on camera because they've decided it's worth it for the money. There are plenty of older men on Grindr offering money for sex. If I had a bill due and decided to hit one of those guys up -- even though I'd rather not but that bill needs paid -- I've agreed to have sex because I've decided the payment is worth it. It's not rape.

Porn is filmed prostitution, not rape. Plenty of these men aren't in desperate need of money. They're not coerced, they're greedy and know that they'll be paid more if they do gay porn. And even if they're desperate, they've still ultimately agreed to have sex with another man for money. It's not rape.

At least half of gay porn actors are heterosexual but shoot gay scenes because they make more money than in straight porn - this, as much as the actors make light of it, is rape.

This isn't rape. They've consented to have sex with men in exchange for money. Regretting it later on doesn't make it rape, either. There's plenty to criticise about the porn industry, you don't need to make stupid statements like this.

Is it easier to come out as queer now that so many celebrities are? by Chunkeeguy in LGBDropTheT

[–]silentdraperunners 16 insightful - 1 fun16 insightful - 0 fun17 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Liberal heterosexual celebrities come out as "queer" because being part of the ~ LGBT community ~ is now trendy. A quirky personality trait. Queer is wonderfully vague; they don't need to specify what exactly makes them "queer," and it's considered inappropriate to ask for clarification. How dare you! It's her identity! So, what is she? Bisexual? A lesbian? Trans? A gay man? (Remember, anything's possible in rainbow land!) No one will ever know. "Queer" is announced, added to the bio, and only ever used for woke points. The "queer" label soon gives them tremendous confidence to speak on all LGBT issues ("As a queer person, ..."), usually taking jabs at lesbians and gay men. These celebrities, typically het-partnered women (hello there, Jameela Jamil), are almost always massive TRAs. You see this exact same behaviour in regular everyday liberals, whether it's on Twitter or your LGBT university club.

I am so beyond sick of these pathetic, pathological larpers. You're not a gay man and no gay man wants you so just fuck right off.

Yeah, no shit. That's what happens when you constantly bombard a subreddit for gay men demanding they be attracted to women.

Ah, yes, again with the "these gay men pushing back against blatant homophobia must be from right wing groups." Politics is irrelevant - gay men don't want to date/fuck women and they're tired of being told it makes them some kind of bigot.

They're not men at all, they're female. Trans activism is inherently at odds with homosexuality. Some are willing to lie and call you "he" out of politeness but when you demand that gay men see you as an actual male? Include you in their dating pool? Nope. That's when the politeness gets dropped and the obvious is pointed out. Under their terms, homosexuality will always be hateful or "phobic" because it's a pin in their "biological sex doesn't matter" balloon.

More classic homophobia dressed in a "progressive" bow. Gotta love how they seldom attack straight women for their dick "obsession" or straight men for their vagina "fetish."

Biological sex is a requisite for attraction but it is not sufficient. Obviously physical appearance, personality, etc., all come into play but the person must be the same sex for homosexual attraction to occur. Duh.

These people loathe homosexuality because it exposes their delusional gender ideology for what it is. Sex based attraction is reality and cannot be changed to accommodate your personality disorder.

2015: I began to see posts on my timeline that said gay men are "trash" and "phobic" for not being attracted to trans men. My reaction has always been the same: but they're female. they're not men, and certainly not gay men. Being told that I have a "genital fetish" and that I should "examine my exclusive attraction to male genitalia because I've been conditioned by a cissexist society to associate the male body with 'man'" ripped the blinders off me. I unfollowed all those so-called progressive people and searched for others who shared my concerns. I quickly learned about trans activism's rampant misogyny, horrendous treatment of lesbians, and transing children. After much research, it became very clear to me that gender identity ideology is entirely regressive and inherently at odds with homosexuality.
