In my area this is an abandoned rail line that was last running in 1983. The tracks start in my small town a few minutes away. It was built in the 1870's. There is such an awesome mystique to it. The fact that I can step on those tracks and keep following them over enormous bridges, small little hidden pockets of scenery that no one knows about, ect. I know it's considered trespassing but what's so cool is that these experiences are free.
Sometimes this is what I think I forget about in life. Yes, we have incredible technology but here we are with VR trying to replicate these immersive experiences but all I have to do is drive 15 minutes and go for a walk. I think I am going to before the weather gets too cold.
What about you guys? Urban exploring or just hiking?
