I don't see links, but that's for the best. I will get it soon because I am getting old and don't want to get colon cancer.

My best advice when you get into "this" age is: Get sme you trust. You live in California, so get a jew doctor! Thats the best you can have.

Before you do, look into the risks. I know, I had never heard about colonoscopy being risky either, but putting stuff up your butt can be dangerous.
Incidence of Death After a Perforation From a Colonoscopy or Sigmoidoscopy. The incidence of death subsequent to a perforation within 14 days of a procedure was 51.9 per 1000 colonoscopic perforations and 64.5 per 1000 sigmoidoscopic perforations.
The google claims the risk of a perforation is only 1.6%. Isn't that actually incredibly high? Almost one guy in 50 who gets a colonoscopy ends up with a greater than 50% chance of death???
To be fair, they also contrast the risk of death from a colonoscopy with the average risk of colo-rectal cancer at about 4-5%. So you have to ask yourself, do you feel lucky?

Have never claimed to be a math whiz, but this is embarrassing. 😬51.9 per 1000 is only 5.2%. So the risk of death from the butt jab is only 5.2% of 1.6%, or, very low.
