My elementary school students just discovered "Who Let The Dogs Out?" and now it's their new shit. They sing this everyday. But in addition to never finding out who did let the dogs out, we never really knew what the true message and intent of the song was before it started getting played at baseball games and became a kiddie bopper. The music video has women shaking their titties in it and all, so it was never really meant to be a kid's song. Several theories were floating around back in pre-social-media internet what it was really about, but what were the song lyrics really about? (Also, as an aside, no one really likes any part of the song besides the chorus. You know, the actual verses?)
So what was "Who Let The Dogs Out?" about?
- Ugly women and Karens at the club (the "dogs" being these females.)
- Misogynistic men mistreating women at the club.
- Furries.
- It's literally just about dogs escaping a kennel.
- The song has no true meaning; it's just words and a catchy rhythm.
