all those words and the real advice is: don't

True, all the words are bullshit. But the four that make it impossible to be objective, realistic, and truthful about the hell you'll endure are, (someone who has BPD).

Sounds less like a description of BPD and more like my ex-wife.

Well that's my point. This was written by someone with BPD. That's why it's bullshit. Of course she sees herself as a delicate little flower that just needs nourishment and validation and everything will be okay.

It's never okay, it's never good enough, and it's a literal living hell.

I'm dubious they even have BPD. I'd put down money it was someone who just wants an excuse to be an asshole.

I don't know. This is a pretty typical response and list of excuses for their shitty behavior.

BPD and living with someone who has it is an amazing example of textbook human behavior in a subset of people. All the stories are exactly the same, the only things that changes are minor circumstances, names, faces, and locations. Every book you read makes you think there are cameras in your house, and you were being watched by the author.

Most people with this disorder speak exactly like this when making excuses. Whether they are self aware or not. A lot of them just think they are misunderstood and it's YOUR job to navigate it.

Don't ever date anyone with BPD or somebody that has C-PTSD and acts like a cluster b. In fact, don't ever go near anyone who trauma dumps within the first day that you get to know them, which many with BPD and C-PTSD do. They like to abuse you until you snap back and they'll use it against you. Many who are abused will end up abusing others.
