Idolatry is a rather common anti-value in modern society. A lot of people are taught to be cunning and opportunistic in the different social groups and this can lead to all kinds of corruption. I think It's a natural result in an anti-intellectual society that is taught to hate authorities and be opportunistic. People develop some of their worst traits.
While I think different systems can work, like the anarchist system, I still see it as very flawed, all the more without the lack of religion. I think only religion can provide the neccesary philosophical answers that people need to understand their purpose, while the different libertarian or dialectical materialist systems can work, they don't provide a true philosophical answer to our purpose and tend to lean towards nihilism even when its not really the intention of the people that promote them, which can eventually destroy society.
It's kind of scary but I think the closer people get to the truth, the more healthy and protected a society will be in the long wrong.
there doesn't seem to be anything here
