One of the things I love about Skyrim is that I can go months without playing, then pick it back up without trying to figure out where I left off. Other RPGs are more difficult to pick up again like that.

Have you tried Daggerfall unity? I guess it's all stable and complete now. I'm still playing through Morrowind for the first time, but maybe I'll try Daggerfall too.

Got Morrowind GOTY a few years back, gave it a try and couldn't kill a mud crab that was attacking me so I uninstalled it ever since lol.

The whole world doesn't scale to your character... Unlike modern editions. I guess anyone should be able to beat a crab, but you were fresh off the boat with no skills or protection probably.
