GC is totally majority leftist.

Oh, cheers, I thought I was going insane. It was probably a woke leftist trying to distance themselves from GC. We exist.

GC is a radical left-wing sub. We use a class analysis like true liberals. The Reddit subs who remain are “woke” brainwashed posers.

Democratic Socialist here, but I've been pretty disappointed in the left. I think I'll call myself independent for the time being.

It was a mix of both right and left wing people. Right wingers tended to be male or older women.

Most of the people on saidit are people whose opinions were censored on Reddit. Reddit, in general, only wants opinions that fit their center-left narrative. So you'll see a lot of alt-left people here, along with a lot of center-right and alt-right.

There are many (though I am not one.)

The people that have been here the longest seem to be mainly centrists or libertarians.
We're all pretty used to people disagreeing with us, so I think we can make room for people with your viewpoint, just so long as we can keep it civil.

as a communist myself

My underwear just flew off. Seriously though I'm at least a socialist and I belong to a skilled trade Union which I participate in politically so I'm trying to be about it instead of just talking about it.

I don't think we can have parity under the Drakkar Noir-scented heel of capitalism.

Personally, super liberal, super American leftist, closeted socialist, and voted Bernie in both primaries.

My take on the sub as a whole, definitely pretty liberal/left, but I don't believe it's a total monolith. I'm still pretty new here though, and could be wrong.
