When you look into subreddits for trans selfies and filter by new (so that you don't get the teeny tiny minority that vaguely pass and who are celebrated like an endgoal), most selfies have a flair "faceapp" or it's mentioned in the title. They either use the gender swap function or one of those slimming, brightening, cutening filters that makes your skin smooth and your eyes all big. But mostly it's the genderswapping filter.

So I don't know if you've ever tried that function but it's incredibly drastic. Your male or female face isn't anything like your real one. It's usually, also, very embelished.

So they post "selfies" of a literal illusion. A whole subreddit full of the faces of people that don't exist. The dellusion is so strong. They will never look like that even with surgeries. I really wonder if they feel like it's their real face deep down and that's why it's so easy for them to post literal photomanipulations that look nothing like them.
