And then he told me he feels he's been lied to to believe that women's rights weren't threatened ☕️

My husband is one of the only people that I'm able to discuss most of this with, but he's from a country that doesn't legally recognize trans people.

Trying to talk to normal people not entrenched in internet culture about any of this is met with narrowing eyes and an immediate dismissal of what they think has got to be a conspiracy theory. Trying to talk to other women that ARE aware of all these things is met with frothy mouthed shaming or they just passive aggressively ignore you. That's why we're here, y'all.

Unfortunately, in person I have generally found it easier to discuss these things with men (the ones who don't claim they're women). It seems that most men are more willing (or less afraid) to go, "Of course that dude in a skirt isn't a woman. He said what? He said that penises can be female? That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard."

Most women also understand that these TiMs are not women, but I guess many of us are just too frightened to say it out loud or too worried about seeming "insensitive."

You see a lot of them that simply don't give a shit about the consequences of saying what's on their mind, while a lot of us are terrified of the repercussions of such. That fear is used against anyone that doesn't want to buy into the propaganda.

This has been my experience as well. For example, I showed one (ONE) Magdalen Berns video to my boyfriend and he peaked. Also honestly couldn't believe this was happening at all (female penises, cotton ceiling etc.) and I duly informed him that he is in the lucky position where he doesn't have to care. Well, he is my ally in all this at least, and is genuinely interested in the topic overall, even though he's not really a "part" of the bigger GC movement himself.

As if they don't know. They just don't care. Don't buy that ignorant act.

I get where you're coming from, but in his case (since we both are pretty far on the left anyway) he's been hesitant to fully embrace this since he doesn't feel it's his place to weigh in/doesn't want to dominate the conversation (since's he's straight and white). Both of us are crypto GC at this point.

I wonder what sane rational men really think of the women who are fanatical trans rights activists? I have heard a few comments from men who seem surprised that women are not supporting women and children more over this issue

It really depends. In my situation, both the bf and I held the same student worker position at our respective universities and both of us would have been fired on the spot for expressing these views publicly, or at least pulled aside. I wish I was joking. He hasn't graduated yet and relies on this position to attend school, so he's struggling with it right now.

You should be able to sue your universities for putting you under that kind of stress

I wish. They're both very liberal-leaning state schools in a blue state (which is great) but the admins for our departments are very much on the "everyone share your pronouns in workshops and have them listed in email signatures" type of bandwagon. At my school, "misgendering" a student is enough to trigger a Title IX investigation. It is insanity.
