Almost everyday for the past week on r/askgaybros trans and gendered related topics keep popping up asking why gay guys won't date trans men and getting mad when people say no, and the gay bros are not having it. It will be interesting to see how Reddit handles this. Banning a gay men’s sub will spark huge backlash. Maybe they will see how ridiculous it is to force gays to accept trans people and reconsider their ban of r/truelesbians? Wishful thinking?

r/GenderCriticalGuys was eventually banned. r/detrans got its ban reversed, but the fact that it was banned even temporarily is telling. I check in every once in a while to see if r/TrueGayMen or r/AskGayBros get the axe. It feels like a matter of time.

I'm not hopeful. The more people speak out, the faster the timer reaches zero. I think we'll see another banwave or series of banwaves and possibly moderation changes focusing more on gay male-centric subreddits soon.

One of the most frustrating things IMO is how TRAs make EVERYTHING about being trans. Not just the incredibly insensitive and tone-deaf things like you mentioned, but even the most innocuous. It's just so one-track and honestly, more than a little boring. If being trans and trans issues is your defining characteristic, you're just not a very interesting person.

It's such bullshit. Male sexuality is respected in a way female sexuality is not. Porn culture has made society's views on sex so phallocentric that people think it makes sense for a man to want sex with a penis, but it doesn't make sense for a woman NOT to want sex with a penis. That second link was an unbelievable read. LGBdroptheT posted a link to a website a week ago or so that was made by TRA which detailed their plan of hostile takeover of “unsafe” spaces and what they did to gendercritical and other subreddits follows that plan exactly.
