Activism - Let's Get This Party Started

Some of you are new to activism, but it can be very effective. A relatively small group of women won women our rights; now, in 2020, it's our turn. So I will occasionally post an activism request, along with a template for the shy, and then it's up to you.

I am a "Second-Wave feminist" (I guess - I didn't realize that feminism had waves until recently). I remember the fight for the Equal Rights Amendment. Today, I look on in horror at what "feminism" has become, the fight to normalize prostitution as a viable career, and what young girls are expected to do sexually. It is the antithesis of actual feminism.

Ladies, women much braver than me fought for our rights, against tremendous odds - now is the time we make those sheroes proud. As the British feminists say, "Courage calls to courage." Let's get this party started.

BTW: You can start immediately, even if you're not a California resident, by calling the California state legislature about SB 132. It's the bill that would allow men to self-identify as women and be housed in women's prisons. The vote is (apparently) Monday, August 10th, so call and leave a message this weekend.

Target the Democrats because they're in support of this atrocious, rape-enabling bill, but give a shoutout to the GOP leadership to let them know you're not on board with SB 132.

I’m UK and planning to have a little fun next academic year... I’m doing a sticker/QR code campaign with GC articles to raise awareness and ‘convert the woke’ so to speak.
