I’m being serious right now. Why are the Amish allowed to keep going? It’s obvious they’re little more than a fucking sex cult.

Isn’t that what the Waco nut job claimed and it didn’t help him?

I feel sick reading that... and full of rage and violence. My blood pressure is probably through the roof right now!

Same. So the very same.

just makes me feel sad. Sexism and misogyny is everywhere, as long as men are around then women and girls will always be regulated to support humans.

Good article, thank you for sharing.

I also know even without raping siblings they have a huge problem with a shallow gene pool due to how tight knit the communities are. Years of inbreeding, frequently having to marry a cousin, causes a lot of birth defects. Example includes a higher than average rate of deafness. If I remember correctly all Amish communities can trace their ancestry back to just 200 people.

Also their farming techniques frequently don't meet EPA guidelines and the ground water around their farms are usually very polluted.

That used to be a problem but several decades ago they started encouraging the young adults to visit the other five major amish enclaves in the US, in an effort to broaden the diversity. But even doing that, their gene pool is still not very large. I wonder if any of them opt for invitro and sperm or egg donation?

To answer my own question, I suppose the thing which is preventing them from leaving is something called "trauma bonding"...

From what i understand of the amish community, each person upon reaching 18 years of age, is required to move into the "english" world for a year, to decide if they want to stay in the modern "english" world with all of the technology, or go back and spend the rest of their life as one of the amish. Suppose it's like anything else, they don't want to leave the only friends and family they've ever known.

It doesn't really seem like a fair choice. On the outside, they have no skills, no contacts, no support network.

Men are a Goddamned disease.

I’m going to argue that although I’m sure this has been going on for some time— these men are also accessing internet porn. Amish people will break certain religious rules when it comes to computers and cell phones.

Porn isn’t the cause though. Porn only feeds the demand, it doesn’t create it. This shit happened from the start. Give credit where credit is due, shall we say. Men came up with rape all by themselves.
