Why is sex work seen as something normal and empowering if its just serving men and its dehumanizing women? Please can someone explain it to me why its allowed to exist its so horryfing to me as a girl, i feel like i want to rip of my body bc of this degradading humiliating exploitation.

I just read reviews by men of sex workers on multiple websites and i feel so sick, i feel like i want to change my gender just to escape this terror i feel

I’m gonna be flippant. Liberal feminism is the dominant branch of feminism (whether this is due to numbers, how much noise it makes or how many men support it (probably the latter) is debatable). The main tenets of Libfem seem to be

-Men can buy women

-Men can be women

The issue with this is simple. In both sentences ‘men’ are the subject, and ‘women’ are the object. Though that is purely grammatical, I think it’s a pretty nice microcosm of womens’ place in the world and the absolute state of ‘feminism’.

Sex is viewed by some as just another service. You can pay for a haircut, pay for someone to do your laundry, pay for the dentist to clean your teeth, pay for a mechanic to change your oil, pay for a desperate or trafficked woman to suck your dick. I honestly don't think most men see any difference among these things. They also believe that when they want it, it better be available. As for reviews, well we all post or read Yelp reviews on everything, so good restaurant, good car wash, good blow job -- sex is a commodity in the minds of many. There's probably quite a bit of the same posts regarding gay male prostitutes. All comes back to male entitlement.

The first question you might want to look into is why you want to harm yourself, because punters harm prostitutes.

There's no logic in that. Logically, and instead, punters need to be ripped a second, third and fourth arsehole for doing what they do. Prostitution needs to be abolished, the Swedish model embraced in all countries, and punters mercilessly hounded, prosecuted and outed for what they do (the majority are in relationships).

This is absolutely my struggle point because I very much believe that sex workers deserve to be treated as workers - protections, fair pay, sick pay, holiday pay. But I DON'T believe sex work should be sold as a super great career path. In an ideal world it would not exist. I hate that young women are all creating onlyfans etc. Sexuality should not be for sale. It should be for pleasure and procreation if wanted.

Well the reasoning is something like: Most people want to have sex anyway. So getting paid to have sex is like getting paid to play video games! Wow so lucky!

As to how people can be so utterly deluded about the reality we live in... I have no idea.
