I agree. I think everyone else agrees also, but won't say anything, because they don't want to get attacked as "transphobic." They're all simply waiting (yawn) for her to detransition, and do fucking boring interviews about it.

The Fonz has officially jumped the shark (dated TV show reference). NOBODY believes this woman is now a man. NOBODY even fucking cares at this point. I don't believe this is going to last long - because at some point, DEtransitioning will be the hip, new thing. Wait for it. I called it. It's all just performance art bullshit at this point, Everyone knows and plays along.

Yep. It's a credit to our supposedly homophobic, racist, no-better-than-nazi society that this stuff has become boring to so many people so quickly. Where it took decades for The Gay to become mainstream, it's only been a small handful of years for The Tran. And as you say, for the many who are more "look at me!" than the ones who are actually "I feel like the other gender", this stuff isn't gonna garner them the long term external validation they crave.

I wish my first thought hadn't been "Ellen Bandwagony". It's unfortunate she waited too long and this move is not as glamorous as she thinks.
