I guess it's why we pee from our clits too! And why our clits are connected to our prostates and other glands that are involved in making seminal fluid.

The rest of the Marci Bower's quote, " In fact, I don't know why they don't just call it (the penis) a large clitoris."

From "I just wanna pee" to this in.. what's it been? Six years?

Gee, if the penis is just a large clitoris, why did Bowers have to butcher Jazz Jennings's penis and the penises of the 1,999 other males Bowers claims to have done trans genital surgeries on?

It would be simpler - and kinder, gentler, more humane and more in line with "first do no harm" - just to tell these guys to start calling their dicks "big swinging clits."

I used to respect Scientific American. 😞

How do the heck do they jump from the idea that non-human species have genitalia that differ from human genitalia to the idea that there is no difference in genitals between men and women? And then they simultaneously imply that the "full spectrum" of genitalia in the animal kingdom means that there is a wide variety of genital constructs in humans. Which is it? Do we all have the same exact genitals or is there a fabulous constellation of genital types among the human species?

It's our intelligence that makes the difference. Instead of evolving a lot of different accessories, we invented plastic addons that we can mix and match from.

The cognitive dissonance and the lack of coherent worldview and hypocrisy among the woke crowd really piss me off. If women and men are the same and there are no substantive differences between the two why are people transitioning, and why do they seem to transition into sterotypes of the opposite sex. I don't know how they reconcile this stuff to themselves.

I don't know how other academics don't look at bozos like the author in disbelief and say something like, "Whatever you're smoking, I want some."

I don't get it. I mean I seriously don't get it. It boggles my mind that there are people who are biologists who apprently didn't get the same education I did or are perfectly ok just tossing it all out the window...we're supposed to be the ~experts~.

ETA - I have an advanced degree in a biological discipline.

There's a tremendous amount of money being pumped by the gender lobby into institutions, including medical schools, media, gay and womens' organizations, unions, NGOs - that's why some "biologists" have become gender fascists.

Same here. Biologists have always been reductionists. We, of all people, know that sex counts. It's just weird to see biologists deny a reality that is so fundamental to our field.

Article idea probably traces to that hoax paper too.

Of course they went and got Marci Bowers. They're an AGP TiM that makes a whole lot of money by providing surgeries to other trans folk (mostly other TiMs but TiFs too - ask me how I know). Surely SA knows this is a huge conflict of interest? Bowers will always affirm and reinforce trans ideology -- their livelihood depends on it.

I see that the old documentary about when Bowers took over the "sex change" surgery practice of an older doctor in Trinidad, Colorado is now being marketed as educational film to schools. They cut a version of it suitable for K-12:

DVD contains a 1 hour lecture and 2 power point presentations by Dr. Marci Bowers, as well as Dr. Bowers's 1 stage vaginoplasty surgery video.

Edifying and intimate, TRINIDAD acquaints viewers with three extraordinary transwomen whose paths cross in an unlikely setting—the unassuming town of Trinidad, Colorado. Against the backdrop of the town’s history of transgender surgery, TRINIDAD invokes the passions and gender politics of these three individuals as they search for a place of empowerment and belonging.

"TRINIDAD succeeds in presenting the materials for a better understanding of transsexual people and stands to be very instrumental in making the world outside of Trinidad, Colorado a safer place for them to live." - Film Threat

Please note TRINIDAD is available in two different versions, the original "theatrical" version as seen in theaters as well as the K-12 "broadcast version" which contains no graphic imagery and is suitable for younger and general audiences
