yeah I've noticed fandom spaces are absolutely plagued by this garbage now. all the self-hating straight women (often married) who fetishise gay male rships (not actual gay male of course - straight men they find attractive and then awkwardly 'ship') as a conduit for self insertion without feeling like they're competing with another woman are all calling themselves 'enby' and all the 'characterxreader' self-insert fics use 'gender neutral pronouns' even though they can't avoid describing female body parts with the accepted language. so somehow they're not made dysphoric reading sexual fiction describing male and female body parts interacting with each other, but use the pronouns she/her and all of a sudden it's toottaaallllyyyyy inaccessible to them and they can't RELATE.

I've noticed a huge uptick in people starting to pursue transition after immersing themselves in fandoms where they become wholly invested in fantasising about opposite sex characters and pretty obviously use it as a way to detach from painful realities. people have already observed this in TIMs who love anime of course, but it's huge amongst TIFs heavily invested in slash fandoms too. internalised misogyny in female-heavy fandoms projected outward onto other women has long been a problem in those spaces, but now it's being obfuscated by the trans narrative. women can deny their own misogyny by simply saying they are trans and slash is just the only expression of their sexuality that really validates it.

it'a not a hobby for them. it's an escape from a reality they loathe and they want to drag the rest of us down into fantasy with them. it's very hard when you just want to have a good time.

It’s everywhere in female centric spaces. The fan communities are especially intense on the gender bullshit, they have to indoctrinate us young and thoroughly, often with pornography, to basically get us to forget that biology is real.

Even in my craft communities like knitting and crochet there’s gender nonsense. On Reddit a few weeks ago I read a post that was talking about how hard it was to be a “nonbinary transgender man” in this heavily “women dominated” space. It was all I could do to not tell this person perhaps the reason they’re interested in a traditionally female craft and then having such a hard time dealing with the fact that other female people around them are being happily women was because they were female. Maybe that a nonsensical, false sense of self was more likely why they were feeling isolated rather than some imagined oppression.

But you know it’s illegal to be concerned or to have disagreements. Of course the person in my story gathered bountiful praise and validation. This stuff is transparent, not transgender.

such transparent misogyny being rewarded. so sick of TIFs doing that in women's spaces.

White males are doing what they've always done: colonizing everything. Now that almost every country/nation has been colonized... white males are colonizing everything else. They hate being excluded and unrecognized.

On Reddit, this is considered hate speech against white males. Can't point out that white males are colonizers. 😂

Colonizing is not the exclusive domain of white males. It's something that males of all races around the world have engaged in since the dawn of human history. And it's something the males of many non-human animal species have done and continue to do as well.

No space is safe. The trans community has gotten away for so long with pushing for everything to be trans-focused as a means of virtue signalling how wonderful they are that they will naturally push to make transgenderism the focus of anything they involve themselves in.

Jumping in a bit late, but I used to be involved in some fandoms too, and have largely backed off for this reason. I made another comment about an artist I followed drawing a particular character as trans after they began transitioning. They even paid one of the major voice actors involved in the series to say “trans rights” gag
