Thoughts and open discussion on the intersection between Pedophilia and TRA

Sophie Labelle, creator of the disgusting "Assigned Male," was recently found to be posting sexualized cub art (drawn furry child pornorgraphy, the furry equivalent of loli/shota) under an alias. This involved children in diapers with sexual undertones.

Soon after this, a user shared an article here about Alok Vaid-Menon, well-known QT/TRA, and disgusting posts he made about young girls. While some comments are older, Twitter is currently assisting him by banning those who bring attention to his writings, such as:

"I believe in the radical notion that little girls are complicated people... Little girls are trans, queer, kinky, devious, kind, mean, beautiful, ugly, tremendous and peculiar." "Your kids aren’t as straight and narrow as you think they are. Like everybody else, I’ve been a cute little girl."

I started thinking about various cases and I saw repeating patterns - enough times that I think it needs a term similar to "transcel." We need a name for this phenomenon where trans people reveal their own pedophilia or support other people's. Transcel implies that these are two related conditions, and I believe QT/TRA and pedophilia are likewise interconnected identities that should be viewed together.

As documented in itsafetish's various iterations, in the trans community age-regressive themes of "slumber parties" and "reclaiming lost girlhood" are common. Superstraights or other new people to our space may not know this is shared openly on major online trans communities. This is not a reviled fringe group.

Autogynephilia explains many of these age-regressive fantasies, but I also think autopedophilia, wherein a pedophile is aroused by the idea of himself as a child, is present as well. Being trans identified appears to allow paraphilic men to justify their inappropriate sexual fixation on children. "Assigned Male" discusses children transitioning from the child's perspective, thus diverting attention from the fact the author is an adult obsessively discussing these children's sexualities and genitals. Labelle is also involved with the furry community, which enables predators to network with each other.

I believe some other factors may be Porn addiction, MEF (Masochistic Emasculation Fetish), or some kind of "paraphilia cluster" in which these men have a lot of overlapping paraphilias and indulging some escalates others. I don't have answers yet but I hoped sharing my observations might help us start a good conversation, find case studies, and better understand what we are seeing. I encourage anyone to contribute their thoughts.

Sickening as hell. I don't care what anyone says, no man should even be allowed to roleplay as women/girls. Even if they don't want to legally change their "gender"... Men should be shamed for behaving like creeps. I hate how I used to think men were "brave" for being gnc. 🤢

Sadly, yes, I know Stefonknee. This is the kind of person who I'm speaking of who would "suddenly" be found with child porn. This was someone who started off AGP/crossdressing and then the age stuff came later.

I see many GC women argue that these men can wear whatever they want in public as clothes aren't gendered, so long as they don't call themselves women. I have to disagree - for these males it's a fetish. Roleplaying as women/girls is central to the fetish. Wearing these clothes is a part of their fetish and doing it in public involves other people without their consent. But because there is no way to legally separate this from a gnc male who likes dresses for non-sexual reasons, that would need to be left to human decency. And we appear to be out of it.

Completely agree. It's a difficult issue. I'm sure women can tell when a man is being creepy and fetishistic wearing women's clothing, and when they're just GNC. There's no way I know of to distinguish it in law - which is why women-only spaces are so important.

For some TiMs it might indeed be some sort of pedo crap. But for others, I think there's a more complex explanation.

I have a 40 year old gay male friend who says he's thinking of transitioning to female. He is also only attracted to young gay men. But I don't think my friend is a pedophile. I think he's immature. Very immature. He's a manchild who, while morally dependable and not scummy at all, never seems takes responsibility for anything and quits when the going gets tough. Perpetually impoverished, he spends money on toys and video games (which would be fine if he wasn't broke).

Years ago I read a psychotherapy book written in the 80s that said women don't take themselves as seriously as men since they don't have that macho male ego, and that men get a lot of their anger and violence from that ego. In modern times I think that's less true for women because the economy is garbage and women/girls are under enormous pressure to work just to survive, but I think there's still some truth in that. Male egotism is still a problem, although since I'm not a man I can't know what it's like to be a man (just like vice versa!). Men are raised in a soup of both normal and toxic masculinity. And if they don't fit that mould, they might come to feel that they're not men. And they assume that that means female.

And yes, it's more than OK to not be a manly man. Part of feminism is making it OK for men to be feminine and still be men. That femininity isn't acid that obliterates their masculinity on contact. But some people, like my friend who's on the edge, have problems that are not to do with their sexuality or gender. They are just immature people. They mistake that feeling they have inside as "female" because femininity is, to them, an alternative to manliness where the pressure to be strong and aggressive and successful is lifted away.

They misunderstand both themselves and women. These men don't understand that adult women have different troubles that weigh just as much as the troubles of men. They misunderstand that the image of femininity they might want, the perky pink girly kind, is actually a caricature of what real adult woman are.

Maybe, they want to be children and not women. Being a woman is their idea being childlike as an adult, since it's impossible to be that way within masculinity. But they don't understand that women are real grown ups, and womanhood is not an escape from the pressures of manhood. It is not an escape from the pressures of being a responsible adult.

If he attracted to "young gay men", men being the operative word, then he certainly isn't a pedophile. The bottom line is that the explosion of this insanity is largely due to "society's "it's all good" attitude towards kinks, fetishes and the obsession with inclusivity of anything and everything. If some dude is into feet, w/ever. A couple likes to role play, or swing, that's their business. Those society can tolerate. Guys wishing that they're little girls and getting off to it ? No thanks, shouldn't be normalized, but we as a society are on the express train to exactly that destination. "It's just a fantasy"...until they act on it b/c they believe the bullshit that guys like Alok Vaid-Menon are spouting b/c anyone who stands against it is a "bigot". 30 years ago these nutjobs wouldn't dare to be open about these things; now they are celebrated.

I just read the whole thing and I am completely nauseated, this is the EXACT same playbook people are using to push ““trans rights”” the manipulation, the reframing, the social pressure. All of it.

The section on “pedophobia” follows the exact same mantra and line of thinking as “transphobia” The idea that the “””phobia””” is “emotional not logical” is the same shtick trans people hit us with when we say “males cannot become female” they accuse us of being the ones holding immaterial, emotional beliefs. Pure projection. The framing of trans IDed people being “terribly oppressed” by the “bigotry” of biological reality and especially anyone who dare mention the fact.

Even the framing of the discussion around these things as “phobic” already applies the emotional onus. It can be abused, it is being abused.

Honestly this shit keeps me up at night.
