Title typo correction: she's

The blackladies sub helped get the GC sub banned, yet black women need GC the most instead of the libfem bullshit. This young woman will likely be identifying as nonbinary to feel "valid" soon.

I am a member of black ladies sub on reddit, but I can't comment. I wonder if it is because I used to post on GC??

I think she has bought a bit too much into gender ideology. She can't place why she doesn't feel like a woman because for the most part, women tend to just be women without any particular feelings about it.

I remember when I was a teenager and in my twenties.

I have always been hirsute and have been mistaken for a guy a few times. The first time it happened, I was devastated. I did not know how to react.

As I have grown older, I have learned no to give a shit. I don't know what made me stop giving a shit, but I did.

I groom (remove hair from my chin and sideburns), but I don't dye my hair or shave my legs, and I don't wear any make-up, which among latina women is tantamount to committing a sin.

I don't know what it takes for women to stop giving a shit about what other people think. I wish I knew!

I am a black woman, and while I don't want to dismiss other black women and girls experiences I hope they would stop projecting this idea that black women are "treated as men." It is not true at all-- and most black women are gender conforming(and black women are not perceived as being tom boys, butch, or whatever as a group).

I think that in the past 10 years social media has been constantly publishing those "studies" that black American women aren't getting married or are the top pick on dating websites. Some black women and girls are starting to internalize this.

But all this gender stuff that black women aren't treated like women is a lie regardless of some people saying black women are not beautiful or dainty. I think it is troubling when some black women who are racially self loathing project this is a mainstream attitude among most black American women.
