I think a lot of these people who develop internet platforms have done work to try to make them addictive, because they know it can mean more money for them.
But that's not the optimal design for people using the platforms. This is more of a general suggestion, than a specific idea to consider implementing, but trying to put in work to make SaidIt non-addictive might be worth trying to do at some point. Maybe not in a "this is the only healthy way to engage in this site and I'm going to put mechanisms in to force you to interact with it this way," but instead in a "I'm going to try to remove the stuff that was intentionally put in to get you to engage in a way that's probably not healthy for you."
