I don't report posts because I don't want to see them as a user. I report posts because I think they break the rules of the sub and I want mods and/or Admins to decide if that's true and they're relevant.
It creates a false perspective of the sub to hide those posts from me as a user. It makes me think those topics aren't legit for the sub since I can't see them ... when in actuality, they're just not legit for my understanding and viewing.
Since the post is hidden, I can't actually see if other users respond and/or a moderator approves and shares about their approval. Which then limits me, as a user, in better understanding what is and is not allowed in the sub.
Maybe a solution instead is similar to "blocking" a post, or marking it "NSFW" ... a custom message/display to indicate to the user that they don't want to see it.
