Look at how sneaky our media is. Look at these titles and how they write the content and they dont emphasize the absolute bombshell which is that Xi warned trump about covid19 on feb 19, 2019.

But publicly here in the United States, he was comparing the virus, as you noted, to the flu and saying it would go away.

All other media literally did not mention Xi or just buried it in the text written in passive voice. They basically just say that Trump downplayed the virus without mentioning who warned him about it.

What the fuck guys. Do a google search yourself and look.

not completely on topic but can you imagine what it's like to be Xi and you're trying to tell the US president in good faith about this dangerous virus and he's like ok ok and then shortly afterwards his country tries to destabilize yours by funding hk riots and then making up fake news about you CREATING the virus as well as genociding....one million uyghurs?
