Wizardcels are super rare, and 90% of the times they’re from Asia.

I think identity politics in the modern age has a lot to do with it, humanity as a whole has been progressively losing it's sense of shared identity and solidarity and splintering into ever more sectarian divisions and petty strife. It's a strategy from the powers that be to divide and rule us.
