Holy based or giga cucked?

I’ve only finished Biohazard and had the time of my life with it so this is my second RE game.

Something about horror games just shine within me. I’ve played so many great ones.

Outlast, Amnesia, Soma, Slender, Old FNAF games, The Crooked Man, Dead Space, Until Dawn, Layers of Fear, Alien Isolation…

…and so many many more, brocels.

These games mean a lot to me. They genuinely make me feel happy, idk why. I think it’s cause they tend to give me this false sense of hope and that there’s something worth fighting for where in reality, it really isn’t. In Outlast or Amnesia for example, everything is rigged against you. You can’t fight back, you can’t do shit, but you have to get out because there’s something out there. There’s something worth living for. Almost everyone you meet in Outlast wants you to fucking die and maybe that’s why I love it lol. I tried getting into Horizon: Zero Dawn last year and couldn’t clock 3 hours into it purely cause of how everyone in that game treated me like a God. I was getting so sick of everyone wanting me to do their things and acting like I’m the only valuable person in the world and don’t get me wrong, I like some of these games, fucking Skyrim is one of my all time faves cause of how handsomely it allows me to live in a beautiful medieval/epic fantasy universe and let’s me just cope by imagining I’m someone else but not every game has Elder Scrolls levels of quality imo.

Anyway, I digress. Similar to how some people cope with soulsborne games, I cope with horror games.

Do you think there’s a connection with batshit crazy hard games like Bloodborne or horror games like Amnesia and curing depression? Why do I feel less suicidal and worried about my shitty life and my khhv status after I finish these games? Lol.
