Who are these people, like Canbot, with no block option under their posts? Because I refuse to use any social media where I can't block everyone if I feel like it.

It's a bug. Reddit for some reason doesn't let you block admin accounts, and I guess no one ever fixed it.

It's a common enough complaint that I might fix it. The site doesn't get updated much though, so don't count on it actually taking effect.

    You can't block Canbot because he is an admin. I didn't know he was an admin until I tried blocking him, as he doesn't actually seem to do any moderating or spam removal. The others I know of are Vulptex and Zapped, but they actually remove spam and do modding
