This is amazing. I’m at 55 mins in and I haven’t heard lesbians mentioned yet.

Edit: it’s at 56.5 minutes. It’s very short unfortunately. I think Joe Rogan talking about this will be the beginning of people questioning TRA ideology and recognizing what’s going on. Unfortunately people simply don’t believe women when we speak up, they need a man to agree for them to thinks it’s credible.

Male comedians might be the only ones that can. Journalism is a dying trade in the age of social media and comedians seem to be the only ones that get a pass to comment on this stuff. Dave Chappelle got away with making jokes about it, which is a pretty big deal in a Netflix-branded special.

I wish he would interview a lesbian about this. This woman is great, but she doesn’t talk about the lesbian issues much. I would like for him to interview a lesbian who has experienced the pressure for lesbians to like “girldick” to go on and talk about it, and talk about Reddit hopefully.

I was thinking the same thing. Despite how short it was, I'm overjoyed that it was mentioned at all. I'm hoping this is the first domino, you can tell in the second half (when they stop dancing around the elephant) that they both recognize how harmful the culture is. I think Joe Rogan having daughters means he has a dog in this fight in a way he wouldn't have otherwise.

She's already received backlash, but I'm sure it will be much worse now. Hopefully she doubles down and goes all in now, she name drops Dr. Blanchard and you can tell she is still holding back.

EDIT: do we know what site he was referring to when they talk about how TRAs mob spaces and claim "hate speech" to shut them down? They mention a detrans space that was attacked. I wonder if Rogan was actually talking about Reddit but didn't want to open that can of worms by calling them out.

Yep, not only does Joe have daughters but he is a former champion athlete in martial arts. He brings up Fallon Fox a lot because he is in a position to talk about how Fallon is a mediocre athlete with poor technique who achieved what he has in the women's league by not disclosing and taking advantage of his male physical attributes. He knows exactly what's at stake and how being "inclusive" of male athletes in women's sports means being exclusive of female athletes in women's sports.

It certainly sounds like he’s talking about Reddit.

You know the overage person does not give a shit about lesbians. By having a heterosexual reporter expose the damage done to young women in general, people will listen.

Wow. I loved listening to this.

IMO the subtlety with which the key topics were all woven into the interview is better to plant the necessary seeds of doubt in viewers' minds that there's a lot going on behind the scenes that trans activists want to keep hidden. If you talk too much about lesbians, typical viewers will think this is an overly niche subject. Joe likes to bring up women's sports in all of his interviews about trans issues because that is something that he is closer too. He is an athlete with a bunch of daughters. So he is well-positioned to understand and debunk the bullshit about trans in sports and did so in this interview. He specifically called out a trans activist who was saying that trans women do not have advantage over biological women in sports. This is good and this is something the general population of Joe's viewers can understand.

Overall, IMO this interview was very good in that it is very clear that both Joe and Abigail are coming from a place of love not hate, and trying to understand. They touched upon how Abigail is receiving hate, but also the thanks she's been receiving from parents. They touched upon how trans activists do not represent the trans people who "just want to live their lives" and and how trans activists purposely corrupted Lisa Littman's research. It really reveals the culture of trans activists who want to obscure and mystify transgenderism so that the general public does not understand it and so that doctors aren't able to exercise their professional judgment. This should set off alarm bells in people's minds.

I just ordered the book to show support for this kind of journalism. I have to get through some other books first before turning to it, but I am definitely looking forward to this one.

Excellent insight. I agree with you that they made it more palatable to a general audience, with enough nuance that no one who listened will write it off. It wasn't "hateful" or "extremist". The feedback is already overwhelmingly in our favor.

Joe Rogan was actually a perfect person for this because as you said, he had already brought up concerns in an area he has expertise in.

Would you mind posting a review/some thoughts when you do read it? I'd love to hear them.

Yes, I am happy to do so. Teen girls and especially young lesbians (or young women/girls coming to terms with their sexuality in such a hostile environment generally) are the people I am most concerned about and I have high hopes for the insights this book will bring.

I have a daughter (she's 6) so that is my greatest concern as well. Thanks so much.

I have never listened to Joe Rogan before, his target demographic is definitely not me. However, I listened to this entire episode and think it is powerful that he has such a voice and he is talking about these issues. The TRAs want to shut down any dissent through fear, fear of being labeled a "bigot" or a "transphobe" or "TERF". But people in powerful positions are standing up, J.K. Rowling, Joe Rogan, it will be interesting to see how this plays out. We have been pushed out of open LGBT communities because we don't want girldick, pushed off of Reddit for the same, they keep trying to silence us, we need more voices, unfortunately male voices, speaking out.

He should have on JK Rowling. That would be extremely salient right now.
