Sex-workers often bisexuals or forced to do lesbian work, even if they don't like it. I've met those only on dating apps, thought.

None of lesbians I was in friendly relationship or speaking a lot in internet were participating in any form of sex-work. So maybe you are just unlucky, or searching lesbians only in dating apps.

I am currently writing big post about sex work in general, and will finish it and post on /s/GenderCritical when I will have more time, so maybe next week or week after, if you are interested in. It will be mostly critique of neo-liberal feminism and men defending sex-work.

I don’t think this is common with actual lesbians. But I did notice a trend where strippers and sex workers like to call themselves lesbians both as a marketing tactic and a way to distance themselves from men. They aren’t actually gay though, they just like saying it. So they frequently end up with men.

Example: the girl who wrote that “quarantine made me sleep with my male roommate” article was a “lesbian” sex worker.

Really? I've never met a single one. Maybe it's your area/trolls?

That’s what I’m thinking too.

I’ve met a few that were lesbians in their real lives. A couple strippers and one that worked as a sub in private dominatrix club. This was in one of the largest cities on the west coast and they said they meeting other lesbians in their line of work was few and far between. So I’m going with most of them being trolls.

I’ve known quite a few women who did sex work but its hard to say what they actually feel sexual orientation wise because so many of them had serious issues. It’s not a fun job, no matter what you hear. It’s really not ideal. Some say they are lesbians, sure, but who knows.
