What’s new with y’all? Covid has me really aching for any kind of social interaction as my days are blending together and stress is killing my back. So I figured I’d try to chat with you gals.

Going through Effexor (anti anxiety) withdrawal and trying not to pull my own hair out, going pretty well so far with everything considered. Got a puppy recently and he has been an absolute delight even while I'm going through this, just glad I have someone else who helps out with him. He's 4 lbs at 5 months old and all I want to do is kiss him :)

Sorta bummed about Halloween, it's still happening where I am but our neighborhood isn't full of kids and with the guidelines there are probably going to be even less trick or treaters, makes me wanna half ass the decorations. Obviously it's for the best, it's important to protect people's well-being, especially children's, but still a little sucky since it's my favorite holiday.

Been playing old Pokémon games in my free time, only ever had gens 4 and 5 growing up so it's cool to finally play the rest of the 2D games.

I really wanted to but because he's so little he can't really go outside yet and if I were to share any pictures it'd show the inside of my house which is bad for any anonymity I have on here- it's pretty distinct.

Puppies are a joy in my opinion. I have a dog if my own and despite being almost 6 yrs old, she’s still a puppy at heart. As for the anti-anxiety med, if you’re off of it then that’s something to celebrate! Also I grew up with the older pokemon games and they’re just so nostalgic. My first game though was the original ruby, I extensively played the original red and fire red and leaf green versions. I miss the 2D style cause I feel like the 3D leaves a lot to be desired! They just feel more sterile 😕

My other dog just turned 10 and he is 100% a puppy at heart, too. Such a sweet boy who never growls at people.

Thanks! I'm going onto a different medication for OCD based anxiety instead of generalized anxiety but being able to get off Effexor is a big deal, it notoriously has the worst withdrawal symptoms with being able to cause stroke-like symptoms and psychotic breaks. I'm definitely celebrating how mild my symptoms have been.

Totally agree about the 3D Pokémon, pixel Kirby and Pokémon will always be my preference. I actually don't have anything past gen 5 for that reason.

I tried Effexor for one day and went “not today” 😬. I’m glad I’m off of it cause I didn’t know about the psychotic withdrawal symptoms! Yeah I had x and y and that was my last pokemon game. I think it just really ranked hard after that haha.

Went to a haunted corn maze tonight. It was cold but I didn't bundle up to keep myself warm. Now I'm drinking a pint of hot chocolate to repair the damage

It’s cold in my place rn too but I won’t turn off my mini fan cause if I do, the air in my room will turn stagnant. That cocoa sounds so good right about now though

Ah, I had that too. I found that going outside even for 5-10 mins in the morning and evening for a short walk really helped establish routine and with circadian rhythm.

I walk my dog for that but then I get restless leg later. I can’t win 😭

I'm just posting here for the first time since the reddit purge.

In the UK we are starting to go back into full lockdown and I relate to it starting to take a toll... I moved out from mine and my ex's place to a new area where I don't really know anyone. It's kind of doubled the isolation haha. In retrospect moving here almost seems like a masochistic decision.

This evening I've been watching Bad Boy Billionaires on Netflix :). I've also been reading a new book I bought on UFOs. How are you doing? What have you been up too?

I’ve been feeling burnout from this zoom riddled semester and i feel so brain dead! My eyes have been feeling the struggle too since I’m either on my phone or my laptop 24/7 doing work. I wish I had time to read!
