Gursts: Alan Hale Jr., Nancy Kulp
The Love Boat is silly and very contrived, but it does regularly have some big stars in the show.
Alan Hale Jr. was best known as the Skipper in Gilligan's Island.
Nancy Kulp played a whimsically odd character in The Beverly Hillbillies, which you can see each weekday morning. Quite interestingly she appeared in The Fountain of Youth, 1956 television pilot for an anthology series that was never produced.
The short film was written and directed by Orson Welles, based on the short story "Youth from Vienna" by John Collier. Joi Lansing and Rick Jason star as a narcissistic couple faced with an irresistible temptation concocted by a scientist (Dan Tobin). Welles himself is also much in evidence as onscreen narrator.

I am quite dismayed that this wasn't turned into a regular series. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Orson Wells is a master storyteller, and I was quite looking forward to Green Thoughts - a "spook story with a seasoning of giggles"...❗
