The recurring theme of unresolved trauma in so many of these people is overlooked by the shallow cheerleaders of this movement.

Real compassion would look at the long term outcomes & causes for dysphoria... Not look for a way to chop body parts off and push pills.

We'd also benefit from open conversation and investigation in relation to sexual abuse and LGBT in general. Without discounting normal variations, I feel we're affirming these things while ignoring trauma that could underly unusual sexualities.

LGBT people have significantly higher rates of childhood sexual abuse than the norm. It's difficult to see why a sexuality should be affirmed and celebrated if it was in part instigated by sexual abuse. It's as if the medical profession has decided that sexual abuse is to be ignored so long as the symptoms are stunning and brave. Women sexually assaulted will commonly seek to make themselves unattractive in order to avoid further victimisation. Do we celebrate incredible obesity caused by sexual abuse or do we try to cure it?

This is confirmation of what I have said for years. The explosion in trans is a response to a pandemic of sexual assault and molestation. This is only one example, so it hardly proves anything, but my suspicion is that if we looked honestly at the people pushing the trans wave (both male and female), we'd find this kind of story is common, not exceptional. A person is not going to jettison an element as important as their sexual identity without a strong motivation. Then there is a secondary wave of those who are close to the assault victim who see the injustice and decide they must be trans as well in order to maintain the close bond with their friend who has suffered so. These would be many of the girls Abigail Shrier is writing about, for example.

Trans is a symptom of a tragic trend in modernity: sexual destruction. Based on the histories of ancient Rome, I suspect a similar trend developed there as well as that society fell apart. People who hate themselves because of what happened to them and seek out in their desperation any way at all to escape what they have only ever experienced as a curse.

This girl has essentially committed ritual suicide. She is no longer the person she was. But I seriously doubt the "joyful" tone of the message. She sounds to me to be the prototype of someone who no longer sees any purpose for herself and sees no role for her in the world.

I only wish she could have met someone who would have talked to her honestly before she took this step from which there will never be a return.

What about oral penetration? Being forced to suck is still a way of assault, innit?

If there's a hole, there's a way.

Just wait, they'll stitch up their assholes next. We can only hope. Then they can finally fill with shit completely.
