5) Rich and/or powerful investors profit temporarily while the standard of living for the 99% continues to get progressively worse, 40 years on.

I agree - and as you can perhaps guess - would argue that the track record of the GOP these past 40 years show that they are primarily the party of promoting extreme income inequality, killing corporate and environmental regulations, killing public education, killing healthcare, reducing human rights, reducing voting rights and democracy, hatred of the 'other' and in general, ruining American standard of living for the 99% for the sake of their temporary profits. Dems are also at fault but arguably make your life better with cleaner water, cleaner air, better education, better healthcare, better regulations on banks, Wall Street and corporations, fewer recessions, less debt, more jobs, helping the middle class, etc, etc.

Every news station did opeds saying, most Congress-members made a point saying at some point, and many celebrities who know nothing said it. It was hard to miss and propagandized by huge corporate dark money election swaying shell companies like Rock The Vote and their 100's of clones.
