  1. Be impeccable with your word.

  2. Don’t take anything personally.

  3. Don’t make assumptions.

  4. Always do your best.

I highly recommend reading his book. The author's depth on each agreement makes it an enjoyable, spiritually uplifting read.

Excellent book and a fast read. I read the Four Agreements companion book as well but lost interest in it.

There is also a Fifth Agreement.

"Don Miguel Ruiz's son, Don Jose Ruiz, has subsequently released a sequel with his father, The Fifth Agreement, which adds a further agreement." 5. Be skeptical, but learn to listen.

Yeah this is a good book. I came across it after reading a few Carlos Castenada books. I don't know if they're real but I want to believe.
