If I keep my eyes closed while doing standing yoga poses, and focus on 'reducing all sensory input angles to 0 degrees' , It's like stepping out of the way of a laser that blinds, and then I'm somewhere else. In that place I experience an indomitable ataraxis that can keep for weeks. Even when I let my sensory inputs go back to their respective angles, I retain that 'in the world but not of it' feeling, which helps me from becoming bitter. It's very nice.
