I always see MGTOW idiots talking about divorce rape, as if the possibility of their largely nonexistent estates getting divided in half is what keeps them from getting married. I’m honestly really peeved at this, since realistically men and women both contribute to the household wealth and it’s usually only the man blowing money on dumb stuff. My mom makes a good chunk of change, and my dad did too before he quit his job during the middle of the 2008 recession to just sit at home and get drunk all day, living off his tiny pension.
I can see why she married him, since he was good looking and was an amazing salesman. But that isn’t what he is today and my mom does bring up divorce to me occasionally, talking about how tough it is to find someone else at her age and the fact that, due to California’s laws, she’d wind up losing the house and her 401k to a man who didn’t even save up more than two years of his salary over the course of his formerly high-paying career.
So now my mom has to sometimes financially float both her children and her alcoholic, lazy, and complete asshole of a husband. She makes a good amount of money, so it isn’t a problem but it is completely ridiculous to me. As someone who grew up in a household with a female breadwinner and a loser deadbeat dad, seeing these penniless, basement dwelling MGTOW moids talking about “divorce rape” as if it’s their problem is completely ridiculous to me.
I’m not a fan of settings where men make more anyways, since men aren’t really capable of ruling the roost anyhow in my experience. My grandfather was a very successful man, the kind of person every MGTOW retard would aspire to be like, and all that did was just make him a tremendous asshole to my grandmother and feel entitled to scream and shout at everyone without taking the time to understand them. In my experience, women having a monopoly on money in the family actually leads to a pretty stable outcome, but that also makes men essentially useless.
It just amazes me that half of our species consist of people who’d be perfectly content being miserable, unemployed alcoholics living off their wives. Like they aren’t fit for anything in a post-industrial society, and yet they consume so much of our time and resources. My brother is a great example of this: brilliant man, popular with everyone, and he makes tons of money when he’s working, but he spends most of the year unemployed and getting drunk all day since his field allows for that. Very overpaid, to the point that it actually pisses people off, and all he can think of doing is climbing up the ladder and cheating the system.
The worst part is that I can totally see him becoming like our dad, entrapping some naive girl years younger than him into a shitty marriage with the same kind of high-paying career and physique. My mom and I have both talked about it, and we’ve made it clear to him that we’d warn any girl he was going to marry about him, and his response? He’d just remove us from the picture when he found the woman he wanted to marry. He said it with a straight face, like he was just removing gum from his shoe.
When it comes to marriage, I don’t think there’s every really a victory for women. Whether they have boat loads of money or none at all, men will always take you for granted and remove you the second it is economically and sexually convenient for them. They are sociopaths.
