I know Game Freak is too lazy, too pathetic, too crunched, and too understaffed to ever bring back all of the best features of Pokemon games from the past. So they should just return all of them in one standalone game without a badge quest or villain team, and just let you transfer your Pokemon in and out of that. The game would have no campaign or story mode, but would let you do every side activity from past Pokemon games. The art style would most closely match Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee, if not be that same exact aesthetic.
Now, I haven't played Pokemon since Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, which was generation 7 now (two gens ago) and unless Game Freak stops making them, I probably won't ever go back to the new games cause they suck ass now. But at the very least, they should bring back all of the cut content from previous games and put it all in one new game that can be on the Switch or online. "Pokemon Stadium 3," or "Pokemon Arena," or something. I'm talking about bringing back or rebooting:
- Simulated gym leader battles from every region like Pokemon Stadium/2.
- The Battle Frontier (gen 3 and gen 4 style.)
- Online "Pokemon League" Tournaments (like the anime.)
- Tag Team Battles (two human players partner up, two Pokemon each.)
- Triple Battles.
- Rotation Battles.
- Sky Battles.
- Inverse Battles (every Pokemon type has inverted effectiveness; i.e., fire is super-effective against water.)
- Junior Cup Battles (max level 15.)
- Mega Evolution battles. (Maybe even Dynamax Battles, if anyone actually wants that back.)
- The Safari Zone.
- The Game Corner with numerous arcade games in it. (If the slot machines aren't to return; replace them with numerous Pokemon-themed minigames like picross, backgammon, or pachisi.)
- Pokemon Contests.
- The Pokeathlon.
- The Underground.
- Trainer customization, even down to the age and height.
- Berry Farming.
- Pokemon Amie/Refresh.
- The Player Search System from gen 6.
- Online trading, GTS, and Wonder Trade.
- Poke Pelago.
- The ability for EVERY SINGLE POKEMON to follow you in the overworld.
- An online feature to allow multiple trainers to co-exist in the same lobby in the overworld, similar to GTA Online.
- A revamped version of Secret Bases and the Sinnoh Villa called "Pokepartments" that let you decorate your home like The Sims.
- An overworld of a new-but-small region that doesn't have gyms, but has a few cities in it and lets you do things like own your own apartment and decorate it.
...And more. So yeah, why the hell doesn't Game Freak just do that or hire a decent company to make that for them?
there doesn't seem to be anything here
