this is the same for any race. they can be the most stereotypical version of their race that has ever existed, if another brown man points out that they're indian or black or latina or asian, it's suddenly offensive and they have nothing to do with their culture. if a white man points it out, it's an honor and it's their cue to act as stereotypical as possible to appease them.
