No that was the calculated move to make the scam work. It's not scamming individual people anymore, for them it's rational to get the degree because it does indeed work for getting a job. It's scamming society but inserting itself as a middle man on job search without there really being a need.

An IQ test + concientousness test would filter out the same poeple, then your employer could train you on the job in much less time and much more specifically
